"Don’t give it another thought- book your stay at The Banks! I promise you won’t regret it! Beautiful property with no detail spared- Our family of four stayed at The Banks at the end of May for 3 nights and we wished we could have extended our stay. We stayed in a beautiful 3 bedroom villa on the river, the rooms were beautiful and spacious, very clean and we loved the outdoor showers. We also had our own plunge pool that was definitely larger than your average plunge pool. Humo, the restaurant onsite was delicious and had several options to choose from. We also visited the Sleeping Giant for dinner one evening and had wonderful pizza at Donatos. At The Banks we enjoyed kayaking down the Sibun River, riding bikes, and hiking. We rented a car from the BZE airport which I would highly recommend- this made it easy and convenient to take days trips- we visited St. Herman’s cave and did their tubing tour, the Blue Hole national park (amazing), Armenia (a local village nearby, we ate lunch at Hibiscus), and drove to the Mayan ruins- Xunantunich.
Special thanks to Gianni- our amazing bartender-he went above and beyond, Jessica the manager- she was so sweet and always asked about our day, and Jair one of our servers.
10 out of 10 recommend The Banks- you will love it!"
"We recently stayed at Hidden Valley Wilderness Lodge, and it was truly the highlight of our entire trip. If you love nature, luxury, and tranquility, this place is paradise.
I have to start with the culinary experience because the food was absolutely excellent! Every single meal was outstanding and a massive highlight of our stay. We even took a cooking class with the Chef Kenron, which was incredibly informative and interesting. We ended up making a truly delightful peanut soup that we won't soon forget!
The property itself is breathtaking, beautifully maintained, and incredibly secluded. It really feels like a hidden sanctuary. The hiking trails are stunning, with Butterfly Falls being an absolute standout. We hiked out to the falls, jumped into the crisp water, and spent hours swimming and relaxing. It’s an unforgettable experience.
Our room was always spotlessly clean, comfortable, and a welcoming retreat after a long day of exploring. We also loved the thoughtful daily touches—having complimentary fresh cookies, coffee, tea, and water waiting for us every day made us feel so well taken care of.
If you are looking for a secluded, nature-filled getaway with top-tier service and phenomenal food, look no further. We cannot recommend Hidden Valley Wilderness Lodge enough!

"Perfect stay for 4 travellers for 2 nights. Wasn’t large or fancy but suited our needs for the short stay, especially when we spent the day exploring and didn’t need to stay in the room. The owner/manager was absolutely helpful."
"Very clean and well equipped. We were on the third floor. The steps are quite steep and a little precarious for older folks. No elevator so forget bringing your suitcases up if you’re staying for just one night. But it’s a nice large well equipped apartment."
"We really enjoyed our two night stay. The staff was super accommodating whenever we asked for anything. The property is incredibly unique and really gives you the local, in the jungle vibe, but with a super nice room. Would happily come back."
"We had an incredible stay here. The pools were beautiful and well kept. Food was good, of course pricier than local options but still fairly priced and fresh. The landscaping and grounds and boardwalk were a dream though. Amazing work they have done here. It has to be decades of tending and pruning.
The property manager was able to help us with our tour plans as well. We found cave tubing and ziplining through her connection to be cheaper than booking online."
