Property was amazingly gorgeous, exactly as described, pet friendly, check-in process was simple.....would highly recommend both the room and host. Extraordinary experience!
VRBO says there is only a microwave, but there is also a hotplate and an air fryer. Everything is spotless, and except for an initial greeting, Jack the owner, who lives on the property, is pretty much invisible. Good cell service and internet, and reasonably close (within about 30 minutes max drive) to the Washington State Observatory, Maryhill Art Museum, and the Stonehenge replica, a memorial to soldiers who died in WW I. Don't skip the art museum.
The scenery is beautiful, everything worked, and if I was forced to say something negative, it would be that the bed in the small cabin is a little uncomfortable. Highly recommended, if you like star gazing, silence, or just exploring.
We stayed a night to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary, the peace and quiet was wonderful and our pup loved exploring! We will definitely be back.
Exceeded expectations. Charming decor and well appointed with convenient items and comfy beds. Beautiful views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. We enjoyed watching the meteor shower and our city dog enjoyed the freedom of farm dog lifestyle for a night.

Such a quiet wonderful getaway, and a birdwatcher's treat. We saw a family of quail, plus ospreys, kestrels, and meadowlarks during our stay. It was so peaceful and quiet, and the host was quick to respond to questions we messaged about activities in the area. The Goldendale Observatory is close by and offers a wealth of knowledge at their evening shows. Plus Cottonwood Canyon State park in only an hour away and is a beautiful hike.
Nice a quiet and clean. The rooms are not very big but in our case we were just crashing at night and out during the day. I would recommend and would stay again.
Locations is beautiful. Host was easy to work with. Cabin is small but it includes all needed things. No place to cook but has a fridge/freezer, coffee maker. Enjoyed our short stay!

Dark sky
We went to see the comet that comes every 50,000 years. It was a perfect location for it
My husband wanted a weekend away that was quite and to unplug. We had brought our telescope and spent two amazing night staring into the most beautiful starry sky. Jack's place was so beautiful. The views amazing, sitting at the porch at sunset, breathtaking. Jack was super responsive and such a pleasure to chat with. My husband and I have already said that this will be place that we will return to.
The fields around the house were golden and pretty, and the moon was big and orange. We stayed here for a weekend - my husband, stepson and me. Everyone said it was a good night's sleep and good getaway. Easy to find and we felt safe driving at night because roads from Goldendale were level and wide We rented the two cabins behind the main house. Each cabin had a bed and wi fi. The big cabin had a queen bed with down comforter and plenty of pillows, and a bathroom with outside and inside entrance, microwave, and mini fridge. Small cabin had full and single beds and a wash sink. Both cabins had window unit AC. There was a tabletop propane grill set up on the back deck of the big house (separately rented). We didn't want to get in the way of the other guests, so we went out for dinner. The walk-in shower had ledges to sit on and a handheld showerhead.
Two mornings in a row we had breakfast at the Town House Cafe - great service and food!
Would stay again.
We had a blast actually. We brought accommodations for meal preps as some things we not provided, but heat and eat home cooking worked well. We'd consider this property again next year for sure.
Jack was very quick to respond and made our check in easy and the cabin was nice and toasty upon our arrival. As others have mentioned, this spot has spectacular views of mt Hood and Adams! The bed was super comfy and we slept like babies (heads up for dog owners, dogs are not allowed in bed). Would def come again! Bring your own wood and you can enjoy the fire pit :)
This tiny house was a perfect spot to rest and enjoy the quiet of nature. The house itself was comfortable and the owner was very responsive and helpful.
Whether you're fishing, hiking, or whatever else, this is a great place to hang your hat at the end of each day. The views of Adams and Hood are gorgeous, the night sky is uninterrupted, and the cabin itself gives you everything you need. Jack was really welcoming and helpful--was great to have him available for questions.
The stars at night are big and bright...deep in the heart of Washington
This property is very scenic. Fantastic panoramic view of Mt. Hood and Adams. Excellent stargazing and wildlife viewing. The owner is very friendly and fun to talk to. The bed was comfortable. The shower was modern and had excellent flow, I stand just over 6 feet and didn't have to stoop. I definitely hope to visit again.
This was perfect for my needs: quiet, clean, comfortable and well appointed for my simple goal to have a restful and beautiful place to go after my days exploring farm country, windmills and the Columbia River. I want to come back with my family!
This is such a cute cabin. The owner was wonderful. We would definitely chose this site again.
The cabin was everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. The communication with the owner was wonderful. Check in process was easy. The cabin had a mini-fridge with drinks already inside, a freezer and a microwave.
