"Abermain was a fantastic hotel. Great location to be close to the wineries in Pokolbin and Lovedale. Room was clean and it’s situated in a hotel that is 115 years old. We were worried about the shared bathroom but it was totally fine. The bar food looked great, even though we didn’t indulge after a day at the wineries. Would definitely come back to the Abermain. "

"The accommodation was as we expected. You get what you pay for. The sheets on the bed were very clean but the bathroom the next morning hosted a small huntsman spider and a bug I did not recognise. "

"What a perfect stay for a young family (kids 4 and 7). We enjoyed the early check in that was available (at 11:30am even though website said generally the rooms were available from 3pm), but we got lucky that a room was vacant). The pool was the perfect temperature, the water park was so much fun for the kids, the cocktails were delicious, and oh my god that buffet for breakfast was incredible!! Thanks for a memorable stay! We are definitely coming back when we return to the Hunter! Very good value for money! "

"Eclectic and unique. Lots of stairs so be prepared. The immediate area around is empty but it is only a short walk to shopping and restaurants. Very clean. Please add 2$ a night and lose the 1.1% surcharge to use a card"

"The house was immaculate, but also warm and cozy and in such a great location.A short walk to shops and restaurants and only a 15 minute drive to the Hunter Valley.We were welcomed with fresh sour dough, milk, juice and snacks.The kitchen and laundry was fully equipped with everything you would need for your stay.There were warm blankets on the lounges and heating and cooling throughout the whole house.We really felt at home during our stay.The host was great with communication and very accommodating.Definitely recommend this property!"
