"The cabin overall was very nice. We had a little trouble with the lock box, but after a few tries, it opened. It was quite comfortable. The living room and dining area were spacious. If I have to look for something to complain about, it would be the toaster oven which didn't seem to want to toast, and the coffee cups which were tiny."

Location: Lake James is very large, deep lake, but with state park and camping facilities on a large portion, the houses are limited compared to other lakes and crowds are very light. "The photos were accurate and the property was beautiful. We enjoyed the fishing and swimming and the house was comfortable for everyone. Really close to the Highway but you can't hear the noise at all. It's definitely secluded which we liked but pretty close to downtown Morganton. Thank you for hosting us!"

"This tiny cabin is adorable and perfect for 2 adults. What a great location for water fun and mountain hiking. We would come again:). I’m not sure how 6 people would do, perhaps if 4 are small children. Note that the loft is not big enough for an adult to sit up. This did not matter for us. We loved this cabin."

"The view is fantastic. The hotel was built in the 1940's there is parking in front that is a little close to the roadway and also a parking lot behind the building. The on property managers are great. They are warm, welcoming, and over the top in customer service. There is a restaurant on the first floor for meals. The hotel was clean and the rooms were large. The bedding was soft and there was a bonus body pillow as a pleasant surprise."
