I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked Safe Stay, but I am glad I did. Staff was friendly and the location was great for us. There are lots of shops (not just the high priced ones) and dining options around. It was fun walking down pedestrian street area.
I would stay at Safe Stay in Glasgow again.
Stayed before and the location off Sauciehall street in Glasgow is great
Only downside is guests using mobile phones in dorms who shout when you try to sleep
3 night stay to attend a concert at the Ovo arena. Great location for this, arena was within a 10-15 min walking distance. Great location also for the city centre and restaurants.
Hotel was clean, staff were very friendly and helpful with info about the area.
The room was basic, clean, bright and recently decorated. The bed was clean and reasonably comfy.
I enjoyed my stay here. I arrived a little early so we were able to wait in the sitting room that is provided.I did have some trouble sleeping as there was construction right behind the room. As a woman I felt incredibly safe here and would recommend here.

Liked: Staff & service
Beds are comfortable, rooms are on the small side. The bathroom was a bit moldy. Since it’s a hostel it was pretty noisy in the hallways (mostly quiet after 10) and we did have a few people come knocking down the hall doors late at night. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Its in a great location. Rooms are spacious & staff was helpful and friendly.
Its a hostel, so you get it. But one of the nicer ones weve stayed at.
It is more of a hostel than a hotel. Rooms are shared with double decker bunks.
That safe it provides safw clean accommodation in the heart of Glasgow.
Glasgow Central Station and Sauchiehall Street are both within walking distance.
4 nights cost £152.
More pillows would have been good, hand towel in bathroom would have been welcome, couldn’t get normal channels on tv, carpets ripped and worn, walls were dirty, bathroom very tired and water damaged. Wasn’t worth what we paid for one night, have stayed in much better for much cheaper in the same area with cooked breakfast. Bed was comfy and staff were very nice.
They have the most helpful staff here. We had all kinds of issues booking and all errors were quickly resolved by the staff. Yes it is a bare bones hostel but could not have been better for our stay.
Could work for 1 night stay if you aren’t picky about cleanliness. Good luck if you get a room in the basement, super damp and moldy. Wouldn’t stay here again.
