"Came for a wedding in Bordeaux and this place was absolutely stunning and well worth the 10 rating - I would have given more than 10!!Jean was a friendly and attentive host but never bothered us in any way - he was the perfect host and we were so grateful to him. He even got up very early on our departure day to ensure we got off smoothly. Such a kind man. "We had the best stay at this beautiful property. The pictures show its beauty but the charm and comfort can only be shared from experience. Our hosts are incredible chefs and wonderful conversationalists (kindly putting up with my basic french), who provided a gourmet dinner and two delicious breakfasts. They are also a wealth of knowledge about the area. We highly recommend Le clos Emilion! Thank you for a wonderful three days!"

"Poor experience. Pool caused chemical reaction to the kids due to chlorine levels so we couldn’t use it. The tv did not work .. finally there was no air con or even a fan anywhere. Unfortunately we stayed during the heatwave (40oc) and it was unbearable . Checkin and out relied on a local cleaner and was generally inconvenient.. it would be good to get a keysafe and fans are a must in the summer months. "

"This is a really big property where you can sleep with many people. There are two living rooms, artist studio, dining room, etc. The setup is a bit odd/strange. There are three connected bedrooms and the bathroom/toilet is downstairs for example. That did not stop us from having a good time. It is very well equiped (kitchen is very complete). Also loads of toys for the kids like a ping pong table, etc. Pool had an issue when we were there, but, we could use it anyway."
