"We loved James Bay apartments as a young family seeking a relaxed holiday in Barbados. Mark and PJ were great hosts and were very welcoming for the children. We enjoyed being in a more original property for the area, which accompanied by the great view to the ocean helped the relaxed vibe. The location is great, right on the beach and in the middle of the west coast. It’s a good half an hour (not safe for children) walk to Holetown, so you’d need a car or easy bus ride. We’ll be back."

"Our hostess, Marcia, was outstanding, communicating effectively throughout and even walking us to nearby restaurants. The apartment is clean but the bedroom is small with no room for end tables. Apartment is in a residential area that is relatively quiet."

"The property was very nice and clean. However, we experienced a few hiccups with the internet during our stay. Initially, the host was very friendly, checking in with us every morning and evening to see if we needed anything. Unfortunately, this changed when we encountered a flat tire on the car we rented from him.After that incident, the host stopped checking in and became insistent that we cover the cost of a new tire and rim. According to locals in Barbados, it was unusual for a host to react...

"Property is very hard to find. Owner was very adamant that electricity should not be on whole time. There's only 1 A/C unit and hostes was very upset that we kept it on over night (was very hot). There was hardly water to shower, it just trickled out. Cook stove didn't work properly"
