Beautiful Chalet Near Skiing & the Gatlinburg Strip- Hike, Play & Relax

Welcome to "Ski'n with the Bears". We have one of the few "easy-straight away" driveways. You don't have to worry about getting in & out of here. This home is a fully renovated chalet in Chalet Village. It has amazing seasonal views as well as views of the Ober tram going up & down the mountain. Our home is about 5 minutes from everything Gatlinburg has to offer: Ober Mountain, skiing, hiking, downtown Gatlinburg, Anakeesta, and more.

We are located in the beautiful, highly sought-after community of Chalet Village. Chalet Village offers three clubhouses with seasonal pools and additional amenities such as pickleball/ tennis courts (year round), game rooms, and so much more.
We provide complimentary Pickle Ball Set for you to use during your stay!

When you walk in you will be greeted with beautiful large open windows. Here you will find a very cozy great room. Relax in front of the gas fireplace or stream from your favorite apps on our large Vizio smart tv. Here you will find additional sleeping for 2 on our queen sleeper sofa equipped with a memory foam mattress (Updated 11/24).

Enjoy family meals around our round table in front of the large windows looking out to the beautiful mountain scenery. Our table will seat six comfortably with additional seating for four on the kitchen bar.

A vacation home is not a home without some FUN games! Ours is equipped with 2 Arcade games (Centipede & Pacman), Foosball table and a Ping Pong table. We also have CORNHOLE!!

Want a night in? Our round dining room table will make playing boards games or card games so much fun! (We have a few of our favorite board games provided for you!)

For your convenience there is a powder room located off the great room.

Great Place to Stay!

We stayed for a week and everything was great about the house. Size was perfect, clean, kitchen was well stocked and so on. We saw a bear on the property on our first day! Access to the pools, Ober Moutain, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge was a plus - although driving the hills could be scary at times .Only thing I didn’t realize was that all the bedrooms were in the basement. My mom was supposed to come with us and she was unable to make it. If she had, it would have been a problem getting up/down stairs. It was a great place and we would stay there again!

This chalet is perfect for all ages!!

We spent four wonderful nights at this beautiful chalet!! It was perfect for us and the kids, ranging in ages 5 - 14! Location was perfect and house was welcoming, clean and well equipped.

Best property on the Mountain

Always enjoy staying at this property. The owners are wonderful to work with and the property is clean and comfortable. Beautiful views, quiet and easy to get into Gatlinburg or the national park. We have stayed numerous times and will plan to book again.

Amazing accommodations

The house was beautifully decorated, had everything you needed and was very comfy & cozy. Not far from all of the activities in Pigeon Forge OR Gatlinburg but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Very peaceful.

Family Trip

This was a great location. In the past we stayed at a property that had a daunting driveway, this was the easiest driveway to get in and out of! We traveled with a 3 yr old and 2 yr old, I was so pleased to see that the property provided a baby gate for the stairs and a safe balcony that only had access from inside the house. This property exceeded all expectations and was just as pictured.

Excellent rental experience!

We had a great stay at this property while visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Being able to use a door code to check in and out was incredibly convenient, and the location had great access to both Gatlinburg and the park. My kids loved all the video games and the hot tub. We will definitely return to this rental if we visit the area again!

Great stay!

Stayed 4 nights near end of May 2022. Liked location - very easy access to GSM National Park for hiking and my husband and I drove down and parked at Galinburg Trail head (maybe a 4 min drive) early most mornings and ran along the river out to the Visitor Center. Cabin was well equipped, very good communication from the owner and she left a nice welcome bag to get our stay started. Would stay here again.

Awesome Trip!

I came here with a group of nine, and we absolutely loved it! The views from the porch are awesome (we saw two bears!), the house is absolutely gorgeous and looks even better in person, and the hot tub and other amenities were great as well. Michelle is a great host and made sure we had everything (and more) that we needed to have an amazing trip. I think this is definitely the place to beat, and if I ever come back to Gatlinburg with a bigger group, I will absolutely be staying here again.

Perfect Christmas Getaway!

We arrived to a beautiful Christmas tree and decor, it was perfect! The house was the perfect size for a family of four adults. It was clean, beds were comfortable and a fully stocked kitchen. The driveway way flat but it is definitely up the mountain to get to the cabin, but perfect location. We loved our stay at Ski'n with The Bears!!❤️

Beach Evac to Mountain Bliss

Every year we go to the a beach house for our annual family vacation. We were evacuated because of Hurricane Dorian. In a last minute efforts to find a family getaway inland we found this beautiful place. The owner was wonderful and arrange our arrival the same day, going above and beyond!!! Was absolutely a beautiful place to stay and even had some bears come up to the back deck!

Super nice home in a great location. The house was very modern but had s cozy feel to it. The kitchen was well equipped for making any type of dinner. The bedrooms were very spacious and the entire house was clean. We had a very nice family vacation here. The owners of the home were very accommodating and were there to help in anyway. Great Location

We enjoyed our stay. Like many others have shared, great location. And Michelle was very responsive and hospitable. My kids enjoyed the games and seeing the bears. The community pool was great to have. A couple of ideas that I think would really elevate the experience - blankets in the living room, a long bench on the wall across from the toilet in the master bath, and hooks on the wall to the right of the sink in the master bath. Overall, would recommend.
