「The house was an ideal setting to see in the new year. The area has lots of interesting walks and cycling routes. The hosts provided plenty communication ahead of the booking and accomodated for our youngest guest (1 year old). The property could benefit from a few more kitchen essentials (bin bags, dish clothes etc), but this a wasn't major issue. All in all, a really nice stay.」

「We stayed here for 6 weeks . The apartment was cozy and had everything we needed. It is centrally located in the town and everything is within walking distance. Communication with Pete was easy and although we had no issues we knew if there was a problem he would be available and it would rectified. We would love to come back stay again .」

「The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed. A minor niggle, but it was a bit cluttered with cushions and throws in the sitting room - the throws just slid off the leather sofas and the cushions were too big and too many, so were surplus to requirements. The location suited us very well, with a host of lovely walks and places to visit nearby. We had a wonderful break and can recommend!」

「7 of us descended on Penninham House for Christmas and had a wonderful time. The staff were fantastic and super helpful even when we had to call at 21:00 due to a fallen tree!」

「Cottage was clean cosy and comfortable. It is about 15 mins drive to castle douglas. Owners live next door so easy to contact with minor issues. We were familiar with local area as visited frequently before.」

「Cosy, well equipped cottage with a lovely view. Our elderly parents loved that they didn't have to go anywhere to enjoy the beach and they could get out for easy walks. With amenities just a few minutes drive away and local to wildlife viewing options this worked well for us. None of us were keen to leave.」

「The property is lovely. The problem is the listing on Vrbo does not explain the pricing correctly and our full party details were not passed on . Resulting in us having pay extra money the day after we arrived . And the cottage is not worth that amount of money.」

「Das Haus bietet viel Platz von der großen Küche bis zum im 1.Stock gelegenen Wohnbereich. Essen kann man bei schönem Wetter vor dem Haus, ansonsten in der sehr gut ausgestatteten Küche. Schlafzimmer und vor allem das Bad mit einer hervorragenden Dusche ließen keine Wünsche offen.」
