"The good: it’s spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. The decor was nicely done and felt cozy. Neutral: the property is old and in need of maintenance. It’s very close to the railroad track and the whole house shakes when a train goes through. The bad: The bathroom situation is awful. The shower is rigged up and secured with wooden post toppers. The frame rigged around the tub was bent and there was no way to fully close the curtain to shower without getting water all over the bathroom....

"Stayed in Naomi’s home for a weekend with some friends visiting from out of town! We had a great time and was pleased with the home + it was very comfortable and easy to drive to the beach. The paddleboards and beach chairs that came included for our use were awesome! "We had a wonderful stay and experience on our trip. There were 2 or 3 small issues our first day and within 10-15 mins Robert was at the property to deal with them. He was a great host and the property was perfect for our needs and very clean! Would absolutely stay again!"

"Perfect location for the beach and the cooler on wheels and beach chairs were helpful. The cottage was small but fine for our family and the two kids loved having the loft to themselves. The cottage is definitely older and a bit worn around the edges but great for a long weekend away from the city."

"Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cute and cozy cottage. Robin, the owner, is easy to communicate with and provides a lot of helpful information not just on the property but also the surrounding area. The large screened in porch and lovely garden area gives this property several spots for a group of 6 to spread out so we never felt cramped. It is close to the National Park and Chicago and is also walkable to the beach. I would not hesitate to stay here again!"

"I grew up nearby and knew some of Gary is rundown, but this was not the case here in Miller Beach. The neighborhood is older and the property next door is abandoned, but THIS property is well-maintained, the host was very responsive, and it's 2 blocks from the water. We had a great time at the beach, exploring the dunes, and even just hanging out watching some TV. "

"Vintage Beachside Cottage was a delight! We loved our time there, mere steps from Lake Michigan. The bedside lamps in one of the bedrooms were not working, and Brian ordered and had delivered the next day a remote that was needed to operate them. Then they worked perfectly. "The cleanliness of the home was definitely lacking. We travel a great deal all over the US and always opt for home/flat rentals. Typically they are spotless and comfortable. This one was far from clean. The stove was dirty, rbe floors looked like they hadn't been swept, the window panes had debris/dirt. "The yard is awesome, of course the hot tub at the top of the hill was the best, and we enjoyed the firepit as well. The house was a tidy little cottage at which we enjoyed our stay.
