Garður Lighthouse

Good area and helpful staff and the beds were comfortable but the rooms were very stuffy and hot and extremely noisy. If you opened a window it was so loud from the road with revving motorbikes, bin lorries, goods loading and unloading etc etc. Even with the window shut the noise was too much and this alone would deter me from staying again. If you can get a room without Harbour View and not overlooking the main road you may be OK. The bagel shop and restaurant were good but they are super busy and use the same entrance as the hotel so getting in and out you are battling through lines of people. We paid a lot of money for our 2 night stay and the rooms weren't cleaned or refreshed at all which I would expect in that price range.

First off, we were on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. We had been traveling already for 3 weeks and had 2 large suitcases to carry up the stairs. Very beat up hotel. Furniture battered etc. no Kleenex in room. Only shampoo in shower. Small room but very depressing. 2nd morning at 6:30 AM the fire alarm went off. People were obviously smoking in their room. I only stayed here because we were meeting a group nearby. On a positive note, the breakfast was decent and the staff nice. I cannot recommend this hotel.
