"A lovely quiet place perfect for a night away. Clean and comfortable. Great host, always there to help out. Just be aware that the hot tub is a paid extra, something that is not mentioned but that is not the hosts fault. They are unsure why that information is missing from the listing. Hotels.com were useless at trying to sort that out. But don't hesitate to book this place, just maybe drop them a message about using the hot tub first. "Very quaint village hotel, dating from the 1600s. Updated nicely, but stairs are very steep. I loved my top floor room with dormer windows. Updated En-suite bath! Lovely original beam ceiling."

"Upon arrival we had to contact a mobile number for dome one to attend. The room was spotless and had everything you needed. The breakfast was cooked to order and very tasty, the staff were very attentive, nothing was an issue. Its a shame the pub and restaurant was closed due to an issue but it was well worth staying. We would come back when the pub and restaurant are open. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were lovely, friendly, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is beautiful, with a peaceful setting and a stunning garden that's clearly well cared for. Everything was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway and would happily stay here again."

"A lovely location and great facilities. Great staff and bar area had a lovely atmosphere. Morning breakfast was delicious with attentive staff. Rooms were very quiet, hotel had a lift which is very convent as the steps are steep to the 2nd floor. The rooms are a little tired and the bathroom window privacy screening is in desperate need of replacement. Kettle is completely scaled up and cups were also dirty so this needs to be addressed. Ok Value if the above were dealt with then it would be good value. I would stay here again even so as the bed was very comfortable and overall had a lovely stay."

"Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is cooked to order and of an excellent quality. The staff are all helpful and efficient. The hotel is ideally situated for access to the town centre, Dad's Army Museum, bus station and is about 15 minutes' walk from the train station. The bar is welcoming and serves a good selection of drinks. There is a small outdoor courtyard area in which to sit if the weather permits. On the negative side, the hotel is definitely in need of some refurbishment and painting, plus replacement of carpets."
