"Beautiful location that is quiet and peaceful. Perfect stay for the weekend. Plenty of space and the wrap around porch with the most comfortable rocking chairs. Reasonably priced with all the amenities. Will book again to visit family in the area."

Quaint cottage by the Lake

"The house is exactly as described…a quaint cottage. Decorated tastefully with the fisherman in mind. Kitchen had cookware, 2 coffee makers and plenty of utensils. It was clean and very comfortable. The owners were very responsive to questions prior to checkin and during our stay. Parking in front of the house is tricky with a fishing boat but we made it work. The house is located close to cedar hill marina and made for a quick easy trip to launch the boat at Pleasant grove recreational area. The waters of Dale Hollow lake are so clear and beautiful. We hiked over the swinging bridge and found a cave with a picnic table! Everyone we encountered was friendly and the park restroom facilities were very clean. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to be close to boat ramp and recreational area. Only recommendation is to be sure to bring food to cook for meals after long day in hot summer sun. Our stay did not include weekend days so the bbq place was closed. There are gas stations within 10-15min driving that sell drinks, food and bait. We’re not much into fast food, but there are several places approx 20-30min from house."

"We loved our stay for the family biannual trip. The house has everything you could need and so much to do together from game room, kitchen, decks, pool, and hot tub. We also rented a pontoon boat at Dale Hollow Marina and their customer service cannot be beat. So friendly and helpful. The lake was perfect and we had a full day of fun."

"Beautiful area, was perfect for our needs. Loved the house, it was very nice. My only issues weren't necessarily issues, Josh was great with his communication and assistance, I would however suggest updated home photos (the grand babies were afraid of the hunting trophies/animal mounts that were hung on the walls: i.e. turkeys, deer and a barbosa sheep... I was amused and they were very nicely done. A pond was mentioned, and it's definitely happening, but I'd say it was more p-o, and not necessarily p-o-n-d. We loved the area overall, very peaceful setting and by the end the kids were good with the mounts as well. It's also located within an hour drive of numerous outdoor activities for all ages. Great location! Thank you Josh for opening up your home to our family. Would definitely come again."

"My family and I enjoyed the stay very much!!Plenty of space to sleep and kids loved the game room!! Very quiet and relaxing after visiting the Mammoth Cave. Driving to restaurants and stores was not bad at all. Thank you very much!!"

"What a lovely stay! Our host was so accommodating and everything was as pictured on the listing. In fact, it was even better than I thought because there was a table that sat 8-10 people inside the house that I didn't realize we would have! And the hot tub was brand new as well. My kids loved the basement with all of its funtivities, and we loved snuggling up on the couch with a fire crackling away. Highly recommend!"
