This seaside rental is just a short walk from the beach as well as many local bars and restaurants. Across the street, there's a souvenir shop and the Float Pool & Patio Bar is so close you can sometimes hear the bands from your deck. This home is also less than a mile from the Galveston Historic Pleasure Pier where you'll find rides, concessions, an aquarium, and fishing at the end of the pier.

Terrible, Misleading, dangerous!
The heater stopped working during the night. The blankets were not warm enough. Deck light was out. We opened the front door and were greeted by a large cockroach! Blinds are missing in Windows upstairs. Back deck has tons of raised exposed nails! Garbage on the deck. Large hole in the deck boards. Exposed electrical wires. Stairs not to building code (we had tripped several times). All furniture is stained and appears dirty. There is a business directly below. Trash everywhere outside. This place seem like ot would fall over with a strong wind.

Deck , bathroom, a/c laundry room, towels, trash cans.
Great place to stay one big issue with the deck Two of my kids and including my wife and me got fell down and got cuts with the nails and some pieces of wood are out, not laundry one bath, a/c working but not enough (during the day)to the house,one trash can was full in the second one people from others place fill the second trash can and leave trash out of the trash cans and bad smells coming to the deck we take some of our trash to the beach trash cans. Everything else is a great place to stay again and I hope they fix those little things and I will the place will be one of the hottest to staying.

I filed a request for refund and we didn’t stay at this location. That said, it is a good location off the beach. If the AC works better, broken furniture replaced and stairs are made safe, it could be a nice enough space.

Pictures need updated for sure!!! Location was great but that was the only thing great about the house. OK holes in the wall I can live with that no biggie life happens no patio furniture and the ones that were out there the seat was ripped out OK whatever we can handle that dirty dishes in the sink I thought was disgusting but hey whatever we went and bought some cleaning supplies to take care of that as well but the fact that the air conditioner did not blow out any cold air whatsoever they had some standing up little humidifiers that did not blow out cold air because it is a humidifier so hot air comes out I was never able to reach the host we went and spent a lot of extra money on portable fans for every single room in the house including bathroom and the house still never got to a comfortable setting it was miserable inside of that sauna. The rude racists who run the business underneath the home are very rude the way they spoke to my husband and cousin who are black men was very disrespectful and Could have turned into a bad situation very quickly. So there is a hotel directly across the street I would recommend staying there because like I said that location is great but this house was ridiculous and hot We would have stayed at the hotel but they were booked

Dirty, but good for a group of friends.
When we first arrived, the house was incredibly dusty with multiple cockroaches running around. The AC was leaking, and the one bathroom door would not lock properly. Overall, I would not recommend this house to a family, but more so for a group of friends. It’s located in a perfect spot with a very nice balcony in a very social area. I would give this a 4 star rating, but there were too many problems we ran into.

The bathroom door dose not latch or close properly.
The bathroom door dose not latch or close properly. I tried reaching out about SEVERAL broken things & was completely ghosted. The Plus was good walking close to bars & restaurants. The negative it was on top of a medical supply building. That was fine. I just feel they could have been more fourth coming, for example the outdoor and living room furniture are not even same furniture as pictured. Overall close for walking, clean, just don’t want the privacy of a working bathroom door.

not so much of a paradise!
Expected a clean place for the fee that we paid! When we got there my brothers and I checked out the place first before getting the kids off, there was ants everywhere! On the sofa, the stove, the restroom! Pet hair everywhere! The cooking utensils still had food crumbs from the previous people. The room were very hot!

Good enough
Needs a good clean. We where evacuating for the Hurricane ida needed a place that would except our dogs. The house is above a business and in the rowdy area of Galveston. The place is old but it was quint in a beachy kind of way. We where thankful for the shelter for us and our animals so I will say it served our purpose for the time but would not stay here for a vacation type stay.

Beach House Review
The location is great for the beach! As a condo rental we expected basic accommodations - we had to purchase cook ware, salt & pepper, extra TP, paper-towels, fans because both downstairs bedroom have no ventilation or AC, the patio hanging lights did not work (full of water), broken patio furniture. The small cooler left for visitors needs to be trashed - cracked and molded. With a little more deep cleaning and a few more details to accommodations - this place would be a great stay. Be aware the next-door neighbors like to party. I only write this to help the owners with knowing what could make it a perfect rental, not to be negative, as we all enjoyed our weekend at the beach!

Location was walkable to most everything and that was a plus.
We witnessed drug deals, a car accident due to speeding, roaches. They also sprung a $189 fee on us with no warning. Again, great proximity to the pier, beach and restaurants but the neighborhood was rough. Not ADA compliant and not well cared for. Sad because it was cute in the pictures. And the AC was held onto the apartment by nylon straps. Won’t be renting this property again.
