"Breakfast was delicious - eggs, sausages, croissant or English muffins, cereal, pancakes - the works. Much nicer than the "Continental" breakfasts many hotels have. Hotel staff was very courteous, friendly and helpful. Check-in was fast and the staff member even upgraded us to a room with a hot-tub! (This was GREATLY appreciated after I got us lost on a hike and we ended up walking over 7 miles for 6 hours while birding, and our sore muscles NEEDED that hot soak!) The room was clean and quiet. "This place is absolutely adorable and Brian David are excellent hosts. The home had such character, so many cozy lil nooks to enjoy and the food was so yummy and fresh. It was an easy walk into town and we will be making this “our place” we stay every time we come to Galena. "

"Cute, sunlight from the front of the home and a lovely sun room looking out to the pleasant backyard. Driveway a plus. Not too far for a walk to downtown. Recommend a zig zag walk to make the return easier. A powder room on the first floor would be a great edition and adding handrails on both sides of the interior stairs. We happen to be there during a tornado warning and watch that had one that did touchdown in Lena. There was a big storm front of lots of rain and hail in Galena.. The host texted us to make sure that we were OK and that was very kind of her to do. Enjoy."
