Post-hike, we moved from Tokyo to Osaka with a stop at the Ryokan in Shimada. Two families (eight of us) stayed at Kappo Ryokan Uoichi and had a wonderful time. The owners are very nice, they speak good English and make you feel welcomed. They have two adorable and friendly cats that will come visit you.
