Rockhaven was perfectly situated in a cute small town, with amazing skiing just minutes away. The house was just as pictured, with plenty of room for our extended family for the week. The host was extremely responsive to all our questions. Overall, we had a fabulous week. Can't wait to return!!

Fabulous vacation at Rockhaven!
We had a glorious week of Spring skiing and the accommodations were wonderful! The house worked perfectly for our 2 families. There are two large living areas where we could have our privacy and yet be together when we wanted. Great beds and no shortage of towels or paper products. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to put together a meal (altho we opted to eat out mostly!). Rich recommended that we try the Butterhorn Bakery for breakfast and it was wonderful. We also enjoyed Ollies for great burgers. Rich is a great host and is very accessible if you have any needs or questions. We will definitely stay here again!

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
OK if you can get past the front door.
Our visit was a late June weekend. The house, which was one part of a duplex, was well laid out for our family of 11, updated, and nicely equipped. Once cleaned, the propane gas fire pit was a nice gathering place. The advertised amenities were not available due to Covid. The location though, did afford us playgrounds nearby and the lake shore beach within walking distance for 5-10 year old children. When we arrived we found the duplex looking abandoned. Leaves were stacked up to the front door and throughout the property. The swing that was so nicely pictured on the ad was encased with overgrown grass, weeds, and bird droppings. We had to double check the house number then had to call the owner to make sure we were at the right address when the code didn’t work. Once inside we found the drapes were closed and the house was dark. The first window we saw was broken! Our hearts sunk. When our son arrive he called the owner at our request to communicate our issues with the outdoor areas. Since he is a land lord himself we felt he may be able to better communicate with the owner. The owner was rude, confrontational, and more concerned with his rating than our comfort and experience. The owner even suggested we leave, likely to avoid our expressing our initial reactions to him and our weekend. When our son suggested that someone should come out to properly prepare the area for renters he was told there is a blower in the garage and we had to take care of it ourselves. We even had to clean up a filthy grille with broken and rusty tools sitting at the entry before we could use it. In the process, we found the rear deck covered with rotting leaves and a railing that was loose and nearly falling off creating an very unsafe place for anyone, especially children. Nonetheless we had a good time. Frisco is a nice place to visit. Biking trails and rentals were readily accessible. We did get a follow up text from the owner saying that he wanted to talk to us right away but, that was several days ago. Wonder what he wanted?
Great 5 bedroom house it fit the needs of our group perfectly.
The Richard the owner, made sure that any needs we had were meet. This is one of our" will stay again places". (The highest rating we can give.)
The property was perfect for our 3 families. The kids had their own floor which was awesome. Rich has an awesome home in a really neat town.

Great vacation home
My friends and I (a group of 10) stayed here for 5 days and loved it. Very cozy house with two living rooms. It has everything you need to relax between the trips to the ski resorts.
Richard is also very accommodating and responsive. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in Frisco.

This house was perfect ! We had so much fun perfect location. The owner was amazing !
I can not say enough good things about this house. We had so much fun in this location. We were able to ride our bikes down town from the house. The Mountain View’s were breathtaking! The club house was amazing for family fun. The house was clean and well stocked. We never ran out of hot water for showers. The owner was amazing with suggestions about things to do, and even sent a text message to make sure we had everything we needed! I would highly suggest this house for a big family or group. Thanks again Rick for sharing your house and all the great memories Frisco gave us !!!!!!

Nice place!
I loved the place and the trip! One thing I would do is clean the oven. It had a lot of stuff on the bottom of the oven and smoked A LOT when we used it. Also, the smoke alarms were chirping because the batteries were low. However, the house was really nice and we had a great time.

Awesome home in an awesome location, would stay again for sure!
Our three generation family spent the week at Rockhaven and loved it. Frisco is a great place with close access to Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper and more. You'll appreciate the convenience of being able to walk to main street where you can find plenty of good
restaurants and shops. The main living area has a large comfortable sofa. The back deck is a perfect hangout spot. We also enjoyed the front yard stone patio with gas fire pit while sipping fresh beer from Outer Range Brewing which is just down the road. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare family meals. We were able to spread out and enjoy the basement activity area for entertaining our grandsons. All nine of us slept comfortably in the bedrooms. We would definitely stay at Rockhaven again.

The convenience and relaxed comfort are unbeatable
We have stayed at Rockhaven many times, winter and summer, typically with our three-generation family. Activities, attractions, and restaurants in Summit and Eagle Counties are too many to mention-- Colorado mountain living. Property always clean and well-maintained, and Mr. Rock provides excellent, reliable customer service. We would recommend staying here to anyone. Mac B.

Mountain Paradise
We've spent a couple weeks in Colorado every summer for the last several years. This year we chose Rockhaven in Frisco and couldn't be more pleased. Not only is Frisco a great jumping off point for all the mountain activities but Rockhaven is perfectly situated for access to the extensive bike trail system and many hikes. The wide paved trail access is a mere two blocks away. From there you can ride to Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper, Vail Pass Summit, over Swan Mountain and around Lake Dillon for unsurpassed mountain views and fantastic riding. There are also many MTB trails for the more adventurous. The convenience of being able to hop on your bike at Rockhaven and enjoy all of this can't be understated. In fact, your car can stay parked even when you venture into town because it's only a short walk to the main street where you can find all kinds of restaurants and other shops. Be sure to check out the historic museum. Frisco has a fascinating history. Rockhaven was perfect for recovering after a long ride. The calming sound of the babbling creek permeates the main living area which has a very comfortable sofa. The back deck is another relaxing hangout spot. In the cool evenings, the front yard stone patio with gas fire pit was great for enjoying a drink and looking at stars. The kitchen is well-equipped and, as a pseudo-foodie who likes to cook, I found everything I needed for some involved meals. The house is very spacious and would easily accommodate a few families with kids. There are plenty of entertainment options in the house should the weather keep you inside. For the avid cyclist, Rockhaven would be an ideal base location to train for the Triple Bypass ride. Acclimatize at 9100ft elevation while you sleep in the comfortable Rockhaven beds. Ride south to Hoosier Pass at 11,500, west to Vail Pass Summit at 10,600 or complete the Copper Triangle for an epic training run. All of this without loading up the bike rack! I would definitely stay at Rockhaven again and highly recommend it.

Great family times at rock haven!
We had a great time at this house, with 6 adults and 6 kids. The house is spacious with the adults having their own rooms and the children having their own beds. The house is convieniently located in Frisco, close to all of the mountain fun. The house was clean and stocked with the essentials that are no fun to pack (sheets, utensils, towels, disposables, etc). I would definitely stay here again.

Very Nice House!
We had 11 people staying at this house and worked out really well as far having enough room for everyone. I was really happy the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utelsils/ pots and pans etc. It was also nice there was supplies of laundry soap/bath soap, toilet paper, etc that we did not have to buy and bring in. The kids all used the clubhouse in the evenings for the hot tubs and a place to unwind after skiing all day. The location is excellent, so close to several ski resorts and also close to hwy 70. We love going to main street frisco for the restaurants and shopping. I have been vacationing in Colorado for many years now and this house was definitely one of our favorites!

Gathering of friends and their families
Great location for all things skiing and winter! Our 3-year-old daughter made her first tracks (on the magic carpet at A-Basin). However, we had a crew with wee tots and families and we spent more time sledding and playing at the nearby elementary school playground. The house has great community spaces and plenty of room for 5 small families to fit in cozily. I have rented many homes up in Summit over the years and I could see coming back here again. It is big, well-priced, and centrally located.

Great Place!
We are a ski team who had a wonderful three weeks at this rental. There is a great area downstairs where our athletes were able to unwind on the ping pong table and the numerous games available. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans and plates to accommodate the most discriminating tastes. A garage with an excellent space to tune skis. The owner is a great person to do business with, always prompt and responsive. A+

Don't overlook this rental!
We stayed with my family, which consisted of 6 adults and 4 younger kids. I've stayed in Frisco for over 20 years, and this really is the best rental I've found when considering location, pricing, and setup. The setup was very comfortable for our group and could easily accommodate up to 3 families given each family would have a place to sleep and a shower/bathroom of their own. The basement allows for an extra living area so everyone can spread out. The location couldn't be better. There is a beautiful park a block away, and hikes to Mt. Royal, Mt. Victoria, Rainbow Lake, and Peaks Trail are an easy walk from the house. If you have bikes you can catch the trail to Breckenridge and Copper Mountain/Vail Pass a block behind the house. Main Street is also a walk/short bike ride from the house. The deck looks out to the small stream running behind the house which makes for a pretty cool morning coffee spot. The street in front of the house has very little activity, so we spent some evenings with the kids playing catch and riding bikes out front. The owner is very helpful and made the stay very smooth and easy. This meant a lot considering I've stayed in places that have a book of rules that came from Cinderella's stepmother.

No surprises
This condo is in a great location if you're skiing in Summit County, equidistant from Keystone, Copper and Breck. We had 2 couples and 5 adult children and had plenty of
room. The kitchen is somewhat small but has all the appliances and is well stocked. The
living room has a large sectional sofa, fireplace and large screen TV. Another living area downstairs provides a getaway. The clubhouse is 1 block away and has 3 outdoor hot tubs and an indoor pool. The description of this condo in VRBO is very accurate and I would highly recommend it. The owner was very easy to work with. Enjoy!

AMAZING trails within a few minutes walk from the house
This house is a great find in a great location! It really is just a few minutes walk to tons of AMAZING wooded or paved hiking and running trails. We had 8 adults and 7 young children, and it fit all our needs. The gas fireplace was a huge hit, as well as the open main floor. The 4 hot tubs at the clubhouse also gave us a fun place to escape.
I would highly recommend this property!

During the stay there were 3 families with a total of 17 people. Short trip to Copper, Breckenridge, A Basin and Keystone for skiing. Public transportation is few blocks away on Main St in Frisco as alternative to driving to the resorts.
Recreation center with swimming pool, sauna and raquet ball and outside hot tubs is a plus.
