"Great location."

Hayward Inn

"The Hayward was a decent hotel near the U of O. One of the major shortcomings though is that they have 3 story buildings with only stairs followed by interior hallways that aren't air conditioned. And because most of the ground level is for parking, the vast majority of the rooms are upstairs. When you're traveling with bags, that's a real hassle. The rooms themselves are pretty standard."

"Stay here for a truly terrific breakfast. Also the gardens are lovey... Depending on the season hope you have time to sit outside (indoor public space nice too) to sip a glass of comp afternoon wine and enjoy a cookie. For our stay, breakfast started with a fruit cup and scone followed by a very tasty breakfast (two choices offered). Lovely friendly staff. The B&B has appr 20 rooms of diff configurations. We had picked a small room that is perfectly fine if you don't need much space, bathroom was good sized. Have to keep windows shut due to nearby trains tooting loudly during the night. Rooms have AC. Would very much stay here again and recommend if you like historical buildings and great breakfasts."

"My family and I enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful except one staff member working breakfast she seemed upset that we asked for pan spray for the waffle maker. The staff member yelled out loud at my husband in front of everyone having breakfast that the waffle maker did not need spray. This staff member appeared irritated with her job as she slammed down the stainless steel lids while refilling the bacon and eggs warmers."
