The whole entire guesthouse gave me a peace of mind because I was the only guest staying there and there were 3 rooms available, but I had peace and prosperity and the whole entire place to myself, so I've gotten lucky. I didn't like the bathroom layout structure however though. I didn't like how the bathrooms were designed and the shower was in a separate stall unit of the house and there were 2 toilets and none of them had a sink. The staff could of done better for guests and provide pictures or a screenshot of the directions on how to get to the place. The instructions were rather vague. I do kinda regret staying here at this location, but at least I did get the full entire privacy, so that's why I have to give them and extra star or some extra credit that I had the whole place to myself, even though there were 3 rooms altogether total available. If the other guests were there with only 1 shower stall and sink, then I would probably rate is much worse down to a solid 2 out of 10. I would give it about a 5 out of 10 for my stay overall minus 1 point which makes the total overall stay a 4 out of 10 for the staff on vague instructions and lack of transparency or visual details for guests from America. I got really confused on where to go, but fortunately, someone was there to help me, thank goodness as the phone number didn't work at all!

Idyllic, but run-down

Lovely surroundings. If anything else is important to you, think twice. There is no staffed reception. I got my notification about check-in at 19:55, after hotels.com had worked for an hour and a half first to get through to the place (unsuccessfully), then to find me somewhere else to stay. I got a basic room with thin walls and transparent curtains. Neither the shower room nor the toilets had lights the two days I stayed, so I needed to use them in the mornings only. My room was fairly clean, but everywhere else was quite messy and partly dirty. If you can handle that, price and location is good. Be aware that lots of the information in their presentation is incorrect: – Restaurant, bar, laundry facilities or coffee shop do not exist. – Wifi seems to exist, but does not work. – Blackout curtains do not exist. – Located near a train station is not correct. The train station is 26 minutes walk away, according to Google Maps. Either that or five minutes walk plus two short and free ferry trips, plus eight minutes walk. – Daily housekeeping is not correct. – The place is not a B&B, as there is no food available. You might be lucky and get a room in a building with a kitchen, but you will not know until you get there. All that said, I would consider going back. I know what to expect, and on some occasions I don't need more.

Arrival at property did not like the fact that there is no bathroom in the bedroom . Bathroom was down stairs and you can smell urine it so bad urine burnt my eyes. It was not conducive for my family . We left and send an email to customer care which was provided and no one provide a follow up email or phone call

Such a let down!

When I booked the room, I booked it believing that there was breakfast included. There was no breakfast, which was a bit of a deal breaker for me. Also, the walls were paper thin, and you could hear the other guests in the communal area chattering on until very late. The bed was very uncomfortable. On the photos, the rooms looked very cozy and cottage core like, but in reality my room looked more like a worn down 1950's servant's accommodation. I ended up just staying one of the nights I had booked, and booked a room in a hotel with higher standard and breakfast. Another thing was that the room I was in was on the ground floor right by the entrance. You could clearly hear people coming in and out of the building, and it made me feel really insecure and afraid. I kept waking up during the night with a really bad feeling. I honestly don't feel like I got what I was promised, at all, and that it was a waste of money.

Rommet er bra og nyopppusset, så det var greit. I fellesområdene var det dårlig renhold. Internett virket ikke. Kjøkkenet var i dårlig forfatning og møkkete. Det er flere hus på området. Vi bodde i Kabelmagasinet. Det er gamle flotte bygninger, men reholdet burde vært mye mye bedre.

Pittoreskt i historisk miljö

Ett spännande boende för dig som gillar historiska miljöer. Vi hade inga höga förväntningar på comfort utan var väl medvetna om att toaletter och dusch fanns i korridoren och att frukost inte ingick. Det var enklare än vi trodde att ta oss till Gamlebyen med färja från färjeläge några hundra meter bort. Där åt vi en fin måltid. Det är lite för lyhört mellan rummen men grannarna var lugna, förutom en som snarkade. Vi hade önskat oss varsin sänglampa. Vi skulle kunna rekommendera boendet till andra som gillar lite annorlunda platser för övernattning. Önskar du egentligen att bo på Scandichotell till en billig peng så har du inget här att göra.

Flott sted- kronglete innsjekking

Flott og rimelig overnatting, synd en ikke kan parkere bilen nærmere huset. Var heller ikke klar over det på forhånd. Hadde ikke mottatt informasjon om hvilket bygg vi hadde rom i, eller koder for tilgang, så innsjekkingen tok tid (to telefoner måtte til) og var preget av usikkerhet. Rommet var rent og stort, flott utsikt til vannet. Dog en flekk på lakenet som skjemmet opplevelsen noe. Fellesfasilitetene (kjøkken, dusj og do) var rene og fine. Totalt sett rimelig overnatting - hit kan vi komme igjen.

Eneste som var bra var senga. Det var ikke en stol å sitte på og ingen mulighet til å koke kaffe eller kjøleskap til å oppbevare mat. Kunne godt ha vert en vask på rommet. Elllers så var badet også dårlig hvor dusjhodet hang og slang. Allt for mye å betale over 1700kr for to døgn. Alldrig mere Isegram!

Et sterkt begrenset hotell, krever eget campinguts

Minnet om en overnattingshytte op en kampingplass uten innlagt vann, stol og skrivebord!, ikke krus (heller ikke papp). God seng. Greit med WC og dusj i gangen, var alene i huset. Laangt til kollekivtrafikk og ingen veiledning. Fant etter mye strev et telefonnummer 69 02 00 02 slik at vi selv kunne låse oss inn i et eget hus etter vår varslede ankomst. Likevel var prisen godt over 900 kr via Trivago.

Kjempefint sted!

Veldig fint overnattingssted ute på Isengard! Litt problemer med innsjekkingsintruksjoner som ikke kom på melding, men fikk raskt oppfølging over mail. Anbefaler ankomst med byferge om timing tilsier det. Selv ankom jeg og dro tidlig som gjorde at jeg måtte gå et stykke fra/til sentrum.

Historiske omgivelser

Sjarmerende sted for den historieinteresserte. Savner at det sto i beskrivelsen hos hotels.com at huset er fra 1799, så det var uventet og føltes som å sove på et museum. Allikevel- vi hadde et fint opphold. Gode senger, rene omgivelser og god plass til en familie. Kjøleskap og rikelig med dekketøy. En liten minus at det var ca 500m til parkering, som ifølge beskrivelsen skulle ligge på stedet. Til gjengjeld så var det gratis å parkere.

En sommaridyll mitt i Fredrikstad

Trasig bro till boendet så det var en bit att gå, men så fort det är klart så blir det kanon. Väldigt fint område, speciellt på sommaren.
