Spacious enough for a small family vacation or romantic getaway for two, this peaceful retreat offers beautiful mountain and valley vistas and plenty of interior comforts to make for a truly memorable trip. Visit the Scottish Tartans Museum, the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts, the Jackson Hole Gem Mine, and Bust Your Butt Falls, all within 10 miles from your door. You'll also be just four miles from the heart of downtown for numerous shopping and dining options.

Inside, discover walls of rich, knotty pine in every room along with comfortable furnishings and all the amenities you need for the perfect stay. Prepare all your favorite recipes in the full, eat-in kitchen and then dine together at the adjacent table - perfect for rainy afternoon board games. Get a fire going in the red brick, wood-burning fireplace and settle in for movie nights on the smart TV using your own streaming accounts.

Outside, relax in the screened front porch, take in the amazing view off your furnished rear deck, or fire up the gas grill to spice up your home-cooked menu. In the evenings, meet up around the firepit to roast s'mores, share stories, and watch the stars come out.

I loved seeing the fog clear off the mountains. I loved when it rained the treetops created a great soothing sound for relaxing. I loved the space, the huge windows, the whole vibe. Great stay!

When we were looking for a place to stay on Expedia we were looking at hotels but when we saw the prices we kept looking till we came across Tumbling Leaf Cabin. There was no comparison! Tumbling Leaf with its 1800 sq feet of wiggle room vs a small hotel room for 5 nights ! And it was more economically priced we decided to stay at Tumbling Leaf! We loved it the minute we drove up!! It was easy to find and at the end of the road so it felt more private! It had so many things to love! It was super clean and had everything needed in the kitchen. It had a screened in porch that I enjoyed with my morning coffee and watching the sunset. It had a fire pit area and an outdoor seating porch with a propane grill! The bed we slept in was super comfy. The other bedrooms (3 total) looked just as comfy! I liked that it had a fence around the backside of the house by the garage which is also the side the front door was on. It felt safe. We struggled a little with the learning curve for the front door lock at first but became proficient as we went! The front door is considered to be in the screened porch. The temperature controls for each room worked really well! We even enjoyed listening to the older radio in the kitchen! All the amenities and home were well loved and felt so homey! We loved our stay here at Tumbling Leaf Cabin and will love to stay again if we ever get to come back to beautiful NC! Oh not to mention the wonderful mountains that circle the home added another sense of security along with the beauty of this place! You can’t go wrong bringing your family to stay at Tumbling Leaf!!!
