"When you read the description in the listing it makes it sound like the actual property is much larger than it is so dont expect a house on alot of land with no neighbors. There are other houses close by which really wasnt a problem like Id thpught there would be with our large and sometimes loud group. Other than worrying about disturbing the neighbors, we absolutely loved the place and may even choose this same location next Christmas. Big thanks to the owners for meeting all our needs and requests. "

"Wife and I wanted to get away for a few days in the mountains for some fresh air and cooler weather. We brought our two dogs with us (very dog friendly here) and they loved running around and were very comfortable inside with plenty of room for their crates. We found this cozy cabin in Franklin and glad we did. We loved the history of the place provided by the owners, as well as all the amenities...kitchen well stocked, entertainment, linens fresh and clean, fireplace with plenty of firewood provided, lovely views and a nice, clean hot tub overlooking those beautiful views.The drive up is a bit adventurous, I believe the cabin is about 4,000 ft up. We had a rear wheel, full sized F150 which at some points felt a bit large, but having it in1st gear on the gravel parts of the road we did just fine. I would say that a crossover or mid-sized SUV with all wheel drive would be perfect. We didn't travel up or down in the dark but once we made the trip once we probably would had felt okay since the weather was fine. At night in rain or snow...may have been a bit hesitant though.Overall, the cabin is very cozy and and in very nice shape for an older property and we highly recommend it for those wanting to just get away for a few days to relax, go on walks, antiquing, spending time downtown. Only critique would be to get better Wi-Fi (very slow) but there's good cellular there and satellite TV provided so it wasn't really a factor for us."
