「We loved our stay at the Social Athens! The staff in particular were outstanding, they were super helpful and friendly. One thing we loved is that the rooms were cleaned in the afternoon so no one wakes you up early! The hotel was clean, the breakfast was really nice and the restaurant at the hotel had great food and service. It was a short walk to Syntagma square which was great for the metro and it is in a very safe area. Would highly recommend! 」

There are restaurants, a bakery, fast food shops, and a supermarket near the hotel. And bus stops are near. We took Airport bus X95 from and to the airport. The bus stop Mavli square is 100m away from the hotel. It's very convenient and cheap. And it took about 10 minutes to the nearest subway station. But...

「Enjoyed everything except the slamming doors. They are very loud. I am an architect and am pretty sure there is a way to adjust the hinges to soften the closing so they don't slam. Otherwise everything was good.」

「There are many excellent things about the Modernist Athens: design (clean-cut black and white), transport and location (walkable to the major sites/museums and also two minutes from a Metro stop and bus lines that can take you straight into the centre and to the airport), great breakfast (both cooked options and good buffet variety), rooftop bar (with a view of the Acropolis), and free daily wine tastings and Pilates/yoga sessions. But the best thing: the staff. Welcoming, gracious, good...
