"We would like to thank the host couple for their wonderful hospitality. They were incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming.The house was impeccable — extremely clean, with an amazing view and a breathtaking sunset. The bed was very comfortable, and the bed linens and towels were top quality.It was absolutely worth it, and we would happily come back again."

"Our stay at Casita de Chiles was absolutely incredible and became one of our favorite trips we've ever taken. Mark and Michelle were amazing hosts and truly made the experience special. You can tell they genuinely care about both their guests and their property. The location was exactly what we hoped for — peaceful, remote, and completely off the beaten path. We were surrounded by breathtaking views of the Christmas Mountains and spent our nights under some of the clearest skies we've ever seen. The stargazing alone was worth the trip. The wildlife experience was unbelievable. During our stay we saw deer, quail, javelina, Mexican cardinals, bats, scorpions under UV light, a tarantula, and even a rattlesnake. It truly felt like stepping into another world. A major highlight was the excursion with Mark and Michelle. We spent about 6.5 hours covering roughly 52 miles exploring Terlingua Ranch. They showed us incredible canyons, beautiful views, and hidden places we never would have found ourselves. It felt less like a tour and more like spending the day with friends. And we can’t forget Chula, who completely stole our hearts. If you want peace, adventure, wildlife, dark skies, and a chance to disconnect and recharge, this place is perfect. We’ll be talking about this trip for a long time and hope to return."

"Beautiful and remote. Off grid, remote has its own flavor. I simply was unprepared for the harshness of the environment. The cabin is beautiful, built by the host, very unique and eclectic. Entirely surrounded by mountains a complete 360! It's in the dessert folks, it's hot and it's dirty! My 3rd trip to BB but I'm much older. Jim is great, he's a local with knowledge, colorful stories, very conversational. The night sky is undescribable. And be prepared these ranch roads are rough!Go in prepared, as Jim describes, and you will love it here! The cabin is totally rain water and solar, if you know you know, good mini fridge and a mini split downstairs that freeze you out ..but don't leave that room. The dessert reclaims all your cool instantly. I mainly slept in the car out front and Jim didn't mind one bit!"

"Everything about this rental was amazing! The views were gorgeous. The house was spotless, the kitchen had everything you could need, and of course the airplane was the icing on the cake. The location was fantastic-so close to Big Bend, the disc golf course, and the ghost town. Cannot recommend this rental enough!!"
