The reception staff were so helpful. My husband and I had booked tickets for the Jacobite steam train and we didn't want to have to take our rucksacks. The wonderful lady on reception let us leave our rucksacks in their office, even though check in wasn't till much later in the day. The twin room was clean and tidy, the bathroom was spotless and huge. We stayed in room 12. If i sat on the wide window ledge I could see the Loch. We had dinner in thd bar. The lady behind the bar was friendly, polite and very approachable. My husband had a burger and sticky toffee pudding. I can't remember what I had for a main course, but I remember clearing my plate. The profiteroles were too die for. We slept like a log. The breakfast in the restaurant was self serve buffet style mainly. But the hot cooked breakfast was ordered and cooked fresh. It was delicious. Overall a fabulous stay. If we ever go back to Fort William that is definitely the hotel we will rebook first.

My Second visit to this Hotel, and hopefully I will return. The Staff are attentive and friendly. A nice Bar and restaurant. The Hotel is a few steps away from the Main Street. My Room overlooked the Loch and was clean, and quiet.

The location was great for walking the area--shopping and restaurants all around the corner. The room itself was ok-good enough for our one night stay. Couldn't get the heat to work and the shower didn't have much pressure. Hair dryer didn't work. overall thought is was pricey for what it was.

Staff were very welcoming when I arrived. My room was on the second floor with a nice window looking out over the loch. The room itself was comfortable and warm once I'd figured out how to work the electric heater and the bed was comfortable. In-room facilities were good, with a kettle, a plentiful supply of instant coffee, hot-chocolate and teas and two packs of biscuits. In the bathroom, there were sealed tubes of body wash and shampoo which were a good touch. Overall, the bedroom was clean and tidy. However in the bathroom there was a lot of black mould around the bottom of the shower doors and some in the shower grouting which I think could have been cleaned up better if someone had spent time on it. Breakfast was pretty decent, with a choice of yoghurts, fruit, some non-dairy milks and a few cereals. I went for the cooked breakfast which, even though it was served very quickly, had fried eggs with nice runny yolks. The bacon egg and beans were good, but the sausage wasn't particularly good quality. It would also have been nice to have some kind of breakfast potato option like hash-browns to go with the rest of it (this was not on the menu). Toast was self-service and there were "pastries" under a heat lamp, which sadly were very poor. My small croissant was hard and a bit dry, and seemed to be more bread-like than pastry. Avoid! Overall, for Fort William, this hotel is quite a reasonable price for what you get but it really needs bringing into the 2020's.

The hotel is well located in the town, room was a twin and small. We where on motor bikes barely enough for us and gear. No luggage room, which didn't help breakfast ok. No good if you have mobility issues. Functional, not the best hotel of the trip but the most expensive 😫. Staff where very friendly and pleasant
