Not horrible, not fantastic
There were a few issues but overall it was very clean and designed very pretty. The window ledge in the bathroom had dirt on it and the soap dispenser was empty and falls off easily so you have to brace it with one hand to get soap out (I put some in it). There is only a small cabinet in the bathroom, no drawers or vanity of any kind. Also, it’s in a district called “peacock” and yes they are all over and make noises at all hours. I could not walk outside and talk on the phone or drink coffee without being asked for money. While it only happened once, I didn’t go back out and risk it again because I was there by myself. I don’t consider it safe for a woman by herself, maybe as a group of 4 would be Ok. Positive points is there were plenty of fresh linens, a TV in both bedrooms (if you watch TV in bed), kitchen had adequate supplies to make meals and snacks, big trash can was right in front as well as a grill and the outside sitting area can’t be viewed from the road so you shouldn’t be disturbed there. The doors had both a regular lock and deadbolt so I did feel safe while inside. It was very close and convenient to the marina, manatee observation center, and park which is a lovely spot to visit. It’s also only a short drive to several beaches. If you are a family who plans to stay at the beach and out most of the time, it’s great.
