Vernon and April were helpful and the room was nice. Rocking chair in room was really comfy. Hot water from fixtures was immediate. Temp outside was in the 20's inside the room was toasty.
This is a gem of a mom and pop hotel. Def no frills, but the shower was hot, the pillows and mattresses were comfortable and the coffee was plentiful.
This place is like a well mom and pop from 40 years ago, but open today and properly managed.
The man at the desk was also the owner.
We’ll be back!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
We got there about 730pm it was dark and rang the doorbell and waited awhile then the owner came. He was very nice. The room was dated but clean and decorated cute. There was plenty of hot water for the 3 of us. There are no amenities and you could not adjust the temp of your room and could hear outside clearly was the only downfall but for 1 night stay passing thru it was fine. There was not many other choices in such a small town.
Wow…a little rough. There was no one working the front office so a dry erase board had our last name and room number on it. “Key in room” on the door. So much for personal security! The TV wasn’t working, so I had to call the number on the front door until someone finally answered. Cable box had to be “reset”. The room smelled like smoke and the walls are VERY thin. We heard the conversations of the people in the next room and was woken up by the barking dog from across the wall. I would recommend going to Alamosa!
We stayed here for one night before heading to the sand dunes and it was ok. I didn’t have high expectations, and rightfully so. The room smelled like a smoker had been in there. The toilet had a ring like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. One bed had a cigarette burn hole on the comforter and the other bed had what looked to be a small blood stain on the underside of the comforter. There were hairs in the bathroom. I don’t mean to be nit-picky, just sharing my experience. Note that if you’re traveling with a baby, they do not have cribs or pack n plays.
