Perched high above Lake Taneycomo, Cliff Haus is a nearly 100-year-old stone retreat that feels more like a European chateau than a typical lake house. In spring and summer, the hillside turns lush and green, the windows invite in cool lake breezes, and the screened decks become front-row seats to glowing Ozark sunsets.
This is not a cookie-cutter stay — it’s a home with soul, story, and unforgettable atmosphere.

Fully equipped kitchen for gathering and shared meals
Full coffee bar for slow, scenic mornings

Outdoor Living | Spring & Summer Highlights
Two attached screened decks on separate levels
Panoramic elevated views of Lake Taneycomo
Spectacular sunset vantage point
Peaceful hillside setting surrounded by nature
In the warmer months, guests love opening the windows in the evenings and enjoying the natural lake breeze drifting through the stone walls.
Important: Due to the steep cliffside terrain, there is no direct lake access, and guests may not venture down toward the water. The lake is best enjoyed from above — where the views are truly exceptional.
Comfort & Climate
As a historic, three-level stone home, temperatures may vary slightly between levels. To keep guests comfortable, we provide:
Fans and space heaters
Operable screened windows
Attic fan for upper-level cooling
Natural cross-breeze ventilation
Many guests find spring and early summer especially magical here thanks to the airflow and hillside elevation.
Parking
Three gravel parking areas:
Two directly in front of the home
One across the street in front of the garage
Additional parking in front of the garage
Parking is street-level, with stairs leading down to the home.
Location:
Cliff Haus offers peaceful seclusion while remaining approximately 20 miles from Branson Landing and major Branson attractions. Spend your days enjoying live shows, lake activities, hiking, or shopping — then return to your private hillside retreat for sunset.
