"This was a great adventure. It might not be for everyone but it sure was for us. There is a bit of a hike to the yurt, which made for a peaceful and secluded stay. Andrea and Clay greeted us and showed us around the place which was beautiful. There is a river right out the door that we swam in, and the yurt was so cozy inside."

I have no issues with using a pit toilet, however you must provide some running water for guests. "Great little unit that was spacious and easy to find. Close to Baddeck with easy access to the rest of the island. Little playground for the kids was a nice touch, especially when the parents were trying to pack up. We did notice that the fridge didn't seem to be cleaned from the last guest. "The only problem I had was that I could not get the TV working. There were 2 Remote controls and each had the name of the Cable company on it. I was able to get the sound but there was no picture. There were no directions anywhere. I checked the desk where the the TV was placed. There was a plastic-covered 3 page with the Recyclable, Refundable and Garbage listings. The first page had been cut off and a section of the second page was torn. The first page, on the bottom left, showed a small piece that had 3 letters on each of 3 lines. I think that was information. The TV information might have changed but instead of replacing it, it was removed and nothing replaced it. I left a note for the owner and placed it on the counter of the office with the key on top of it. there was nobody in the office when I left. B."
