With new COVID-19 rules and measures in effect, travel looks a lot different today. Here are a few things to know before you pack your bags for Fogo:

• Research if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking. Also check if there are any conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as installing a contact tracing app.
• When you go through airport screening, do not remove your face mask. You will be asked to lower it briefly for ID purposes. Travelers who refuse to wear a face mask may be fined and denied entry.
• To avoid cross-contamination, place your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee.
• One container of liquid hand sanitizer is now permitted in your carry-on luggage. It must not be larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to take it out of your bag for X-ray screening.
• To reduce handling during the screening process, place items such as your loose change and phone into your carry-on instead of the bins.
• Separate any food you're carrying for X-ray scanning. Food items often trigger the alarm. Putting them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA officer to handle and inspect your belongings.

• Royal Air Maroc - this airline is known for conducting passenger temperature checks and cleaning with disinfectant.
