Very charming property. Beds are comfortable, location is great, and the patio is a nice bonus. There are steep stairs inside the apartment so keep that in mind if it’s an issue. Our young kids loved the quirky layout and the outdoor space. Highly recommend.

The layout of the apartment was not clear. Everything was on a different level with stairs for every room. There was no place to open and use luggage. 2nd bathroom was at top of a spiral staircase.

This property is in an excellent location close to almost everything worth seeing in Florence. It does have an elevator but only for the first two floors with stairs pictured leading to the apartment on the 3 level. The pictures seem to indicate two porches. However, both photos pictured are of the same area with different furniture. This is deceptive and should only have one picture. There are several steps in the interior of the apartment which are not clear in the photos. The largest bedroom is 3 steps below the hall without a handrail. Not comfortable for anyone concerned about their balance. Also, the bathroom adjacent to this bedroom has steps with no handrail. The hairdryer in this bathroom does not plug into the outlet as the plug is too large. We had adapters which overcame this unnecessary oversite. We did find a trash container under the sink. The porch was not clean with a rusted metal round cylinder in the corner and pigeon feathers in another corner. I would not recommend this unit for anyone who has issues with steps or balance due to the lack of support on the 3 step passages mentioned above. We found the interior clean. I would give it a 10 for location and a 6/7 the living set up.

Great Location

The location was great…all the way to the top was not bad however there were several sets of stairs without the apartment (didn’t like this too much).

Would not return

I would give this property a 1 star if not for the wonderful Martina (a young employee) who took care of us. This property is owned by a corporation that does NOT care about customers. They didn't make any effort to make us comfortable (no water, no shampoo, no coverlets on the beds - just one sheet, no trash can or bag in the kitchen). The place was also quite old and needs a lot of care to bring it up to standard (dirty furniture that no one wanted to sit on, broken window glass, super dirty vents...). The only communication we ever got was about them getting their cleaning fee and taxes in cash the day we arrived. They sent us FIVE reminders. Will never return and do not recommend.

Amazing location

Tucked away on a quiet street, this apartment is within 10 minutes or less from almost everything you'd want to do or see in Florence. Highly recommend!

Charme et emplacement top

Séjour à 4 en famille avec une ado de 17 ans et une petite fille de 3. Nous avons apprécié, le look du logement, avec sa terrasse sur les toits, la chambre perchée, le coté perché sans bruit (sauf travaux, pas de chance à la fin du séjour) Nous avons apprécié l'emplacement à deux pas du ponte Vecchio, on fait tout à pieds. Nous avons moins apprécié...peu de chose, la chambre en duplex avec le petit lit ne convient pas pour enfant en bas age (rambarde trop basse, escaliers..., dommage, nous avons du faire dormir la petite dans la grande chambre et la grande dans la petite chambre..ce qui n'est pas si grave au final). Et attention à l'accés voiture...petite rue piétonne avec accés restreint. Merci en tout cas à nos hôtes pour les échanges et la facilité d'arrivée.

Great location, some minor challenges

The property is really nice and in an excellent location. Our stay was great though there were a few issues. I never met our host throughout the stay. I received an email the day before arrival saying they required the cleaning fee and local taxes in cash though it turned out they could charge my card. Apartment information was brief and on the back of the entry door, it looked more like a fire safety sign. There were two hair driers, neither worked and a washing machine, but no detergent. We had an air conditioner that was broken/being repaired during a heat wave. It look longer than promised to resolve and there were no fans in the apartment nor any offered. It's also worth noting that the apartment is on the 5th floor. There is a lift/elevator but then a flight of stairs. Also, the single room, while great, is at the top of two flights of very steep stairs and it has no door. If you have small children or anyone with mobility issues it's helpful to know in advance. All in all a great apartment, some attention to detail could have made our stay easier and more pleasant.

Stairs despite elevator!

We had a great stay, and SimplyHome was quick to answer our questions. It's a very nice place....but...the elevator only goes to third floor, and the apartment is on fourth... So when the elevator reaches the top, you still have 19 steps on a very narrow staircase before the apartment. Inside there is 26 stairs on an even more narrow staircase, to the single bed "room", three steps down to the master bedroom, and also some up to the last bedroom. Apart from that - we loved the place, the neighborhood and Firenze it self, and would consider comming back (when it's not 38 degrees!).

Perfect location

This apartment was perfect for the location for major attractions that we were looking for. The bed upstairs had no sheets, the blankets on the beds need to be laundered - they stank! The apartment was filled with mosquitos from the bedroom window being left open. There was not even a light switch at the top or bottom of the stairs to turn on a light after dark. (the switch inside the door did not work) There was one on the 2nd floor that worked. For 3 people over 60 this was very dangerous. We missed that there was no oven in the apartment, no radio or TV. Utensils, pots and pans were sparce if you plan on cooking anything. The last minute booking worked well for a quick place to stay - once again great location.

Great spacious apartment

Great large apartment in super location. Easy walk to all points of interest. Steps from the Ponte Vecchio. Large balcony to enjoy when tired from sightseeing. Would absolutely stay there again.

Originell, zentral, gut ausgestattet

Die Wohnung ist echt schön, sehr typisch italienisch verteilt auf mehrere Etagen und mit teils superengen Treppchen verbunden! Das schönste Zimmer ist das "Turmzimmer", das aber leider mit dem Einzelbett nur begrenzt nutzbar ist. Die Dachterrasse ist dagegen sehr eingebaut. In dem direkt angrenzenden Haus ist gerade Baustelle (war kein Lärm), so dass sie eher uneingesehen ist, aber sie bietet (wie es auch in der Beschreibung erkennbar war) keinen schönen Blick. Die Lage ist allerdings wirklich optimal um die gesamte Innenstadt zu Fuß zu erkunden (die Ponte Vecchio ist am Morgen einfach am schönsten). Auch die Ausstattung war top, alles da was man braucht (incl. Waschmittel, Spülmittel, Salz, Pfeffer, Essig, Öl). Von Florenz selbst hatten wir leider nicht nur gute Eindrücke: es war etwas zu voll (August!), überall lange Wartezeiten und teils gesalzene Eintrittspreise. In der Innenstadt muss man lange suchen, um eine Eisdiele zu finden, wo man unter 6,- Euro ein Eis kaufen kann und den Turm vom Palazzo dürfen erst Kinder ab 6 Jahren besteigen. So gesehen war es mit kleinen Kindern nicht ganz optimal, was aber nicht an der Wohnung lag.

Better than expected

Location, location, location

This apartment is in such a great location. You are within easy walking distance of the Ponte Vecchio bridge, the Uffizi, the Duomo and many great restaurants. It was so great to come out the front door and be right in the heart of the city. We experienced no issues at all during our stay and the apartment is as advertised. One room with the king sized bed is quite large, the other is normal size, and the room with the twin bed is a nice little hideaway loft. Having to walk up the last flights of stairs or the stair case in the apartment was not an issue for us. There isn't a lot of common space but who comes to Florence to hang out in the apartment? We felt extremely safe and it was within walking distance of the train station. We would stay there again.

Great Location in Florence Italy

This apartment is exceptionally well located. It is extremely close to Ponte Vecchia Bridge, food and all of the sites! It has an elevator that will take the luggage up two floors, but you still have to carry your luggage one Flight. I would not plan on cooking in the apartment as there are minimal amenities in the kitchen, and there is barely any water pressure in the kitchen sink. The bedrooms are very large and the bathrooms are very nice. There is ample hot water. The rooftop sitting area is very nice, and is the only “living room area”. There is an air conditioner in every room and they all work well! If air-conditioning is a concern for you this would be a great rental. The wine opener in our apartment was broken and we asked for another one and it never arrived. If you are driving a car and need a garage to park in, Garage Terme is literally STEPS from the apartment front door! You can pre-pay and reserve parking in this garage.

Florence holiday

We enjoyed our four night stay in Florence at this very clean and well-located apartment. Everything about the apartment was as advertised. While the kitchen and living area are small, it fit our needs very nicely. The location is excellent for seeing the key sites in Florence. The beds were very comfortable. Even with the rain in Florence on a couple of days, we had a wonderful visit. Highly recommended.

Not Fully Equipped

The apartment was in a perfect location that was very centrally located. Unfortunately though, there were some issues. There is only 1 useable bathroom/shower because the second one that is listed does not have any type of curtain or window making it unusable. There was also a window open in the bedroom prior to our arrival and so the unit was filled with mosquitos! I mean everywhere. You could tell this was an issue in the past because there were dead ones smashed all over the walls. We also found that the apartment was not very well cleaned...kitchen counters and the floors were dirty upon arrival.

Très bonne location

Nous avons été très bien accueillis avec de bons conseils. L'appartement est spacieux, confortable et très bien situé, dans une ruelle avec le Ponte Vecchio est à 150 m et la place della signoria à 250 m environ. De bons restos tout proche aussi. Le cinquième couchage en haut des petits escaliers est à réserver à ceux qui peuvent dormir sans rideaux.

Lovely traditional apartment in Florence

We really enjoyed staying here. It's very close to everything, including the train station. Federico was very helpful and accommodating and, most importantly, the beds were very comfortable.

Central to everything in Florence. We enjoyed the patio with wines.

We loved this apartment for our stay in Florence. So centrally located we were able to walk to all the sights and so close to the river and bridges with wonderful sunset views. We were met at the apartment by a wonderful host who explained with a map all the must see and do’s. We took her advice and she was spot on as we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed our stay.
