We've rented many apartments for short stays over the years and we're sad to say this was one of the worst.
The first thing that was apparent was that the place was not cleaned well. The sheets and covers were dirty and clearly had not been replaced - there was hair in several beds! We were also told that the mini-splits were controlled by the building and couldn't be turned on until June, as though we don't know how mini-splits work. The first night was extremely uncomfortable because it was hot and because the mattresses are thin, cheap spring mattresses (who uses spring mattresses any more?).
Lorenzo did agree to give us the remotes for the A/C (which is advertised in the listing, Florence is hot in May!) and changed the sheets on three of four beds (hair was left in the 4th one, which we didn't need but still....).
The rest of the stay was better but the overall cheapness of the place affected the whole trip. There is no cutting board, and barely any counter space. No hot pads. many other kitchen essentials are either cheap or missing. There is an outdoor market several times a week and 50 euros would go a long way towards outfitting the place. We bought some stuff but shouldn't have had to.
The other problem was a constant smell of cigarette smoke. It was advertised as "no smoking" and there were several signs to that effect but someone smoked regularly on the other side of the doors (it's a larger apartment that was divided) and blankets under doors didn't help.
