Great and affordable, in the center of Florance.

Amazing place, as a private apartment, right in the center of the old town and colosseum of Florence. Big cost-benefit and affordable. Host was helpful and responsive. I can highly recommend this place

Excellent location and staff

Staff are incredibly helpful. Gabriel and Mario do a great job running this hotel. We notified them about a leaking shower hose and it was fixed the same day.

Very conveniently located and close to everything! Staff were incredibly helpful. Apartment was spacious, clean, and mostly quiet (there were some nights where there were loud people walking around). Highly recommend!

The hotel is a historic building and gives easy access to all the main attractions, restaurants etc. We had great communication from the hotel and all staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. Shower was smaller than usual, but had good water pressure and maintained a stable temperature. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Florence.

Positive of this property is location. Itā€™s very close to major attractions. Staff is very friendly. Negative is the size of the room and specifically shower. There was barely any room to turn around while standing in the shower. Not sure if all the showers are like that, we were on the first floor. Another issue was noise. There was lot of noise from the outside street and also from the people running inside the building. Air conditioner wasnā€™t cooling enough, was shutting off every few minutes. Overall, it was a positive experience with some negative.

The location is great. The check in process is very thoughtful and caring as they take time to map your location and points of interest. They really compensate for being a 2 star hotel with their customer service. Being in the historic district, they canā€™t have modern amenities like an elevator and other conveniences. If youā€™re staying in the heat of the summer, donā€™t leave your screenless windows open overnight, the mosquitoes will eat you alive.

I can't say enough good things about our stay at the Hotel Santa Croce. The staff was very welcoming and informative. The history of the hotel itself was fascinating. Our breakfasts in the morning were delicious. The location was perfect for us. Thank you so very much for such an awesome visit!

Wonderful service and convenient location

Hotel staff was wonderful and the property is in a convenient location for exploring Florence. Our only issue was the room A/C was not cool enough given the weather (it was 100 F). Would absolutely love to revisit this hotel in any other season

The hotel is built into the old walls of the remains of the Florence coliseum. Itā€™s on a lively alleyway next to the house Michelangelo grew up in and near Santa Croce square. For history lovers and people who like to be comfortably in the thick of things, itā€™s an excellent place to stay.

We had a small apartment in the auxiliary building just steps from the main office. Complete with kitchenette, microwave, kettle and stove top cooking with all necessary dishes and utensils, it met all our needs. The staff were very friendly and truly helpful. We would stay there again without hesitation.

Great location, tiny room across the street from.

Great location, but have never stayed in a more spartan room. So small, I had to go outside just to change my mind. Smallest bathroom ever. Good A/C and a wonderful office staff. Very kind and helpful.

Great location, clean rooms and kind staff

This hotel is located in the heart of Florence, in walking distance to most of the attractions. Our room was very clean and the breakfast was good. The staff were kind and friendly. On check-in Mario showed us all the attractions around the hotel on a map. We had an issue with our room and Gabriel (sorry if I am not spelling his name correctly) was very kind and was responsive to the issue, they changed our room and refunded that night's fee. We had great few days in Florence in this hotel and left there happy and satisfied.

Mario and the staff were incredibly accommodating. We were helped from the minute we stepped into the doors of the lobby till we checked out 8 days later. Traveling internationally can be intimidating but Hotel Santa Croce put all the uneasiness I had being in a foreign land with my wife and son to rest. I will return to Italy and I will absolutely stay here again.

I loved this property, it was only my husband and myself, the room we had was not kid friendly but Iā€™m sure they have good accommodations for families. This was close to everything our room was in another building but it was right near the hotel office. I would definitely go back to Florence and would stay here again.
