We loved the rooftop view, charming outdoor garden and the beautiful breakfast. Hotel staff in particular Heardeep were very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend a stay at this hotel. It was the highlight of our trip in Florence.

I loved the style of the hotel, the staff is very nice, the breakfast buffet is very good, the comfort, is very well allocated in the city, the hotel has the touch of the classic Praga, it made me love more the city, I highly recommend it.

The hotel is in a great location of sights, train station and while old in style the room was clean and a lovely balcony with a river view. Breakfast had a good selection and the staff were very helpful and attentive. It is a good base to see Florence.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. This is a beautiful old building. Its a very comfortable place to stay. We were visiting Polimoda, the fashion school for my daughter, and this hotel was perfectly located.

Lovely and stylish

Lovely hotel with a stylish interior. Very cosy and clean. I loved the view on Arno river through the window in my room. If you would like to explore Florence in style I would recommend to stay in this hotel to taste the atmosphere of this city.

Great location to explore the city. Next to the river Arno, most places you want to get to are only a 15 min walk. Station, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio etc all just 15 min walk. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms stylish and clean.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Principe. The location was only 10 minutes walking from the train station. I’ve stayed closer to the duomo in the past and it was always so noisy and loud. This location was quiet and peaceful and still easy walking distance to everything in Firenze. The staff was very friendly at hotel principe. No enjoyed the breakfast every day with multiple options. The decor feels historic and charming. I also loved the rooftop terrace with lovely views of the river and the rest of Firenze! I would definitely stay here again!

Hotel Principe in Florence was nicely situated at the edge of the old town. Easy walk from train station and rental car agencies. The riverfront location is nice, but at least a 15 min. walk from most of the main attractions in the old city. Weigh whats more important. Short walk with a suitcase was preferred for us. The hotel is quite old, but reasonably updated. Our room on the 3rd floor overlooked the courtyard garden, which was nice and quiet, but I would chose a river view next time. The rooftop terrace is very inconvenient and wasnt used much. I thought breakfast up there would be nice, but 4 floors up elevator, then another on narrow stairs meant that wouldnt happen.

I needed to stay one extra night before an official government meeting and the hotel I had reserved didn’t have room so I chose this hotel and wasn’t disappointed. It’s a 10 euro cab ride or a ten minute walk from the train station. The staff were very friendly. The room was very spacious and well equipped with amenities not found at all hotels (express machine, water kettle, slippers, safe deposit box). The room had a cute little terrace. A hardy breakfast was included, served in a very nice side dining room or you could eat in a cute little courtyard. The absolute highlight for me though was the rooftop. It had a nice sitting area and an amazing view of the city. I got the best pictures up there. The hotel I moved to is across from the train station C hotel Diplomat - convenient but definitely not the same view.

5-star rating for the staff that goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Convenient location, just a couple of minutes walk to the main attractions. Beautiful garden and closed paid parking. Great rooftop view. The hotel itself needs immediate renovation. The smell of mold in our room got me sick after two nights and to help the air conditioning system is so old that the room never got the temperature down. When we arrived at the room, room was not very clean and it had hairs from the previous guests in the bathroom and on the furniture at the feet of the bed. Mattresses are already losing consistency probably because they are too old. It is a family owned hotel and therefore I will be more lenient on these facts than I normally am and hopefully they will make me the necessary renovations for us to come back again.

The staff was phenomenal..very kind and very helpful. The food was perfect way more than I could imagine eating with so many options of meat, pastries and bread. The environment was fancy yet cozy. The view was gorgeous and a good place to walk around! The bed wasn’t that comfortable but that’s so small complaint compared to the amazing experience I had I didn’t think twice about it. I will be going back next visit!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are exceptional! Every member of staff made sure we had everything we needed and they did so happily. We stayed here for 2 nights and as each member of staff went off duty, if we were downstairs, they came over to say goodbye and to see if they could do anything for us before they left. Breakfast was excellent and there was a wide choice served in a beautifully elegant room in keeping with the rest of the hotel. We could've had breakfast outside in the garden if we'd wanted. Our room was stunning with everything we needed. We had a garden view with a nice long balcony and 2 doors leading onto it. We asked at reception for a recommendation for lunch/dinner and they suggested an Italian restaurant 5 minutes walk away that made homemade pasta. They booked it for us and it was extremely good and reasonably priced The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk in the heat (38 degrees) to the start of town so if you have trouble walking far i would suggest a taxi. One day we got a taxi into the San Lorenzo district as this would've been quite a trek and it cost around €15 (via the outskirts) there and €10 back (bus the centre of town). In the evenings we had a nightcap in the hotel bar and their Aperol Spritz was the best I've had. There is also a rooftop garden with amazing views.I spent a long time on Expedia to find the right hotel for us and this hotel did not disappoint. It was perfect in every way and I can't praise this hotel enough.

i love this place and the staff!! only thing i wasn’t the most pumped about is how you give your key to the desk whenever you are leaving the hotel. i understand they are very unique keys and pick pocketing/theft is common so it’s not the worst idea to do this.
