In reference to the hotel, you couldn’t ask for a better location The rooftop bar is beautiful. You have a great view. You can enjoy it the breakfast was great. The rooms are clean. It’s an older building so you’re gonna have to deal with a small bathroom but overall, the facilities is a good place to stay. We really enjoyed our four days there so any one that decides to come to Florence and stay there you will make a good choice . Santa Novela train station. It’s four minute walking distance so that’s a perfect location if you’re coming in by train.

We paid extra for a balcony, but we did not get much sun as it was North facing, but it was still worth it, but no curtesy screens. Room was a good size but the toilet was squeezed in and the toilet roll was behind you near the floor and ended up sitting in water on the floor. Reception were very efficient and helped getting us a taxi and posting a card for us.

Being that this was a last minute coordinated hotel relocation due to an unfortunate event for the hotel that we originally booked. I truly believe this happened for a reason. The hotel reception was great, especially for how late we checked in. The hotel itself has an old charm feel, small and quaint. The room was clean, however, the bathroom is small, similar to being on a cruise ship. The biggest setback for us was that there was no sliding glass door or door to the shower. The entire floor outside of the shower gets wet every time we took a shower. Other than that, everything else was pleasant. FYI, the rooftop bar charges premium prices. You’ll know what I mean if you go up there, but hey, it is what it is Yolo! But you do get good views of the city from up there.

Hotel was clean and conveniently located near to the train station. Room was large, bed comfortable. It was very noisy on the street even with the windows closed but that is to be expected in an older property. The breakfast was plentiful and varied.

I really enjoyed my stay here. This hotel is at a perfect location. You can easily walk to the major sights of Florence and even airport travel is a snap as a 20 minute tram ride drops you right by the hotel. The airport travel to the hotel and back to the airport was among the simplest I’ve ever experienced in any city and you can’t beat the cheap cost either. I enjoyed the breakfast a lot and my room even had a small balcony which was a nice surprise. The staff was nice too. There was one front desk person in particular that impressed me as he always greeted me by name: “Mr. Kenneth”. I’ve been traveling for decades and I’ve never seen a hotel worker attempt to learn the names of guests. It was a simple gesture but it just made for a welcoming environment. Unfortunately, I never learned this worker’s name so I can’t give him a shout out but if management reads this and knows who I’m referring to, please give him my regards.
