We stayed 4/12-4/14 and from the moment we arrived we were treated very well. We arrived early and we were able to checkin early. The room was a nice size for European standards. The room was decorated with a cross between Old World and modern style. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The rooftop breakfast was lovely. All the hotel staff were very friendly, professional, very attentive and helpful. An extra thank you to Daniele for going above and beyond with being helpful in helping me deal with a credit card challenge. The location was excellent, easily walk to all the main sites. I would definitely recommend Hotel Calimala to my family and friends!

Property had beautiful rooms. Exposed brick and beams in the rooms was a nice touch. Rooms were well appointed. Hotel staff were excellent and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay here again.

Great staff. Only issue was construction right above our room. We were only there two nights and the hotel was full. We were trying to sleep off jet lag. I’m sure this was isolated and would recommend the hotel. I would stay there again but would make sure that there was no construction on or near the building during my stay.

Hotel Calimala was a great stay! The stay was very pleasant and always was available to answer any questions or help out as much as they can. Since the hotel is located in the heart of Florence, everything is within walking distance (restaurants, Dumo, stores, bars, ect). The proximity is so great that I would recommend not renting a car. Just put on your most comfortable shoes and explore. Now when it comes the rooms, they seemed smaller than I expected but the hotel’s attention to detail and overall design is gorgeous. The large windows overlooking the city was my favorite. The beds are extremely comfortable as well. The hotel even offer charging converters which I thought was really sweet. They have two bars/restaurants on premise. One is located in the west building and the other is located in the east building. (Yes, the hotels are split up into two building, but that doesn’t take away from the experience). Anyway, the free breakfast wasn’t as great and could be better, but the steak we had for dinner was pretty decent and the bartender gave us free shots. Overall, I would definitely book with this hotel again. The service, staff, and hotel was nothing less than amazing.
