My family and I (5 adults) stayed for 3 nights in July 2026. The property fitted our needs perfectly and provided an excellent base from which to explore Florence. All the tourist/historical sites of interest, the train station and the airport (via the tram) are easily accessible from the apartment. Other reviews have mentioned the top floor location of the apartment and the number of stairs, which is true, but we did not find this to be an issue. Also, the expected occasional traffic noise from the street below due to the city centre location can be well excluded provided care is taken when closing the window to the main bedroom and ensuring the top locking mechanism engages properly. Overall we found the apartment to be clean and in good order, with Oscar providing a comprehensive check in experience. In summary, we’d recommend property to anyone thinking of a similar short city break.

Location

The location of this property was fantastic! So close to the train station, which was great. Very close proximity to so many things and great restaurants. There are lots of stairs so people with heavy bags might find it difficult.

The apartment was nice and it fit our family of 5 well. I was a little frustrated because t didn't provide the attachments needed to use the hairdryers that were provided and I reached out on WhatsApp but never heard a response. We were there for a wedding so the hair dryers were pretty important. It was also an incredibly loud street and there was street noise all night long.

Great day trip to Florence

My family stayed here for one night as we journeyed across Italy. The loft area was a big hit with the kids. The location made walking to and from the train station a breeze, and we were able to walk to all of the other sites we wanted to see as well. I would stay here again.

Perfect Spot By Santa Maria Novella Train Station

5 Minutes to the train station and 10-15 minutes in any direction to the top sites in Florence. It was very clean, modern and comfortable for our family of 4 (two teen kids). Would definitely recommend and return next time we're in Florence.

This is a hard review to write because this is actually a beautiful apartment that my family was initially very pleased with. However on our second morning we woke to discover a live bed bug and a multitude of bites on one of our kids. This, after reading a prior review about a bed bug encounter and being assured that the matter had been addressed. What ensued has been an ongoing back and forth between myself and the host, who refuses to issue a full refund for our stay, despite all the costs incurred having to change accommodations and even more dealing with bed bug abatement so we didn’t spread them to other accommodations or carry them home with us. (Of note, host claims it was “our choice” to engage in such extensive measures and not their responsibility.) This whole situation was incredibly stressful and really ruined our time in Florence, which is such a beautiful city. Such a shame.
