"Hotel is a bit tired. One lift out of order made the other two very busy at times. In our room, the light when you entered the room wasn't working and no matter what we did with the heating controls the room never seemed to warm up. The shower control was very stiff to turn off. Lots of mould around the window reveals. In the glazed area where the bar was, you can see where some panes have leaked and there is corrosion and paint peeling. Staff were friendly."

"Nice spa, nice renovations, shame the steam room wasn't working. The mens showers were cold. But other than that this was a nice hotel experience. The bedroom was a little small but well kept. The bar area and restaurant was well appointed and you can see nice refurbishment work had happened. The breakfast was excellent and worth the money. The location was quite good to access town with a short walk."

"I had an overall positive experience during my recent two day stay. Check-in was seamless, and Emily was incredibly welcoming and accommodating to my needs, which made a great first impression. The staff throughout my stay were friendly and approachable, and I really appreciated the warm service. The room itself was a nicely refurbished space, comfortable and modern, which added to an enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, there were a couple of housekeeping details that were overlooked. I noticed hair (not mine) across the shower tiles while I was in the shower, which was unpleasant, as well as some splatter marks on the mirror in the living area. I arranged for the room to be cleaned the following day through the app and also mentioned the specific areas needing attention to the receptionist the next morning, who assured me she would inform the cleaner. When I returned later that day, the room had clearly been serviced; however, the same areas had been missed again. Despite this issue not being rectified, my overall experience was still a good one thanks to the lovely staff and the comfort of the refurbished room. With a bit more attention to detail from housekeeping, it would have been excellent."
