"I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff greeted us with a smile and the rooms were ready to go when we got there. The door hot tub is an oasis and can be sat in on the coldest of days. We appreciated the call when we forgot something in the room. "
"We came from the north side of Sylvan Lake for my wife’s birthday dinner .. about 1.5 hours drive through the country side.
Restaurant alone is worth the drive. Always an excellent experience. Motel lodging is clean and well appointed with a very comfy queen bed.

"Karrie was very quick to respond with any questions we had. The space itself is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and make our selves right at home. It was the perfect little get away to celebrate our anniversary. I certainly recommend. "
"He photos are misleading - one feels they are renting a beautiful retreat.
It isn’t.
The cottage is run down, with a large burn on the dining room table, holes in the sitting room ottoman, and a worn out couch that we all found incredibly uncomfortable. Lack of comfortable seating was the worst part of the stay - either one sits on the worn out couch, or the hard dining room table chairs.
The interior was filled with flies - they keep landing on our heads and food. The owner’s acknowledged the flies were an issue, but she said she can’t fix the issue as she doesn’t know where they are coming in from.
When we told the owner the toaster didn’t work, she assured me that it did. She said the problem was that the plug was broken, which supplied the electricity to the toaster. (Sorry for criticizing the toaster!)
Guest bathroom towels are dishtowels.
Getting to the dock is perilous. It’s accessed down a long exterior staircase. The railway ties that once made up the stairs have lifted and twisted over time to be become dozens of hazardous, raised tripping hazards. Getting down to the dock is not for the faint of heart.
Once at the dock, access to the dock is gained by climbing over the first dock section that is covered in logs and branches, and has been distorted to a 45 degree angle, making climbing over it treacherous to say the least.
There are a series of yurts and a trailer overlooking the property. "
"It was a lovely little unit, very clean, very well equipped, and very comfortable. There has been a great deal of thought and effort put into what guests need are, and those needs have been met and exceeded. We only have two recommendations for the owners. The back deck was absolutely fantastic, and we used it a lot; however, we did notice there are a lot of nail heads sticking out of the boards on the deck, which could cause serious injury to future guests, and some areas of the deck are in need of being spruced up so they do not look so neglected. The second thing is the television, there are three sets of controls and because we are in the 75 age group, we have no idea how to deal with that, so we would suggest leaving explicit instructions for guests on how to use three controls and how to navigate the technology, Otherwise, it was perfect!Thank you, we are so pleased we booked with you."
