「Me and my friends just spent our New Year's here for two nights. The man cave lives up to its name-- we spent a good deal of the weekend playing pool, darts, and card games, used the grill, and were just a few blocks off from some great food and liquor stores. I'd imagine any sort of group would enjoy coming here, though, given other advantages like access to trails and monuments in historic PA. Everything worked just as we wanted it to, and Mary's filled out the space to create a great place...

「The River House is a beautiful property. It is a gorgeous log home with the Susquehanna River as the backyard. The home was very clean and comfortable. The entire property is calm and relaxing. My husband was able to fish right on the river bank which was one of the main reasons for this trip. We also enjoyed the hot tub. We would definitely return for a stay in the fall. Thank you!」

「Stayed with family to celebrate birthday. The house and property were beautiful, clean. quiet and peaceful. Sitting on the porch and seeing wildlife was an added bonus. And the big soaker bathtub - wonderful! We would definitely love to return! And the short drive to Knoebels was great!」

「Black Diamond Retreat was a wonderful place for a family gathering. Both indoor and outdoor areas were spacious and gave everyone room to spread out and wander. 「I grew up in Shamokin so I understand most of the homes are historically old and many are row houses. The host does a wonderful job of making the home feel welcoming. Loved the decor and fun layout. The bathroom is large and clean with great water pressure; that's always a bonus. ;)」

「House was exactly what we were hoping for. Plenty of room inside and out for activities. Game room downstairs was very nice with pool, darts, fooseball table, and a large tv. The outdoor space was perfect for hanging out or simply enjoying a fire, or drink on the deck. There is a trail right behind the house that you can hike up. House was super clean. We would for sure go back.」
