"We stayed for three nights in Snowy Lodge. Check in was easy, your keys are left in an envelope in the small reception, theres a map on the wall to tell you where to go. Take note with regards to check in and check out. Hotels.com states check in at 5 o'clock when its actually between 4 and 5 and check out at 9 when its actually 9:30 to 10. "The one night we had was very nice. They were very welcoming and very good host. The room was very clean and had everything you needed and fresh milk was given to us. The location was great just near the river and a short walk from the town. The breakfast was great, you put your order in the night before and it was cooked fresh for the time you arranged. I would definitely recommend it and will definitely be going back there. With there being parking on site a bonus,as you don't have to walk from a car park to the b & b with your luggage."

"This hotel has bags of character and is a refreshing change from the likes of Premier Inn. If you don't like creaky floors and things not being level, then this place is not for you! But if you want a warm, comfortable place to rest your head in the middle of the town with friendly staff and great food, then look no further"

"Great location if visiting Ludlow as only 15/20 minute walk in so ditch the car at the hotel! Small hotel but perfect for a short break. If tall maybe mention on booking as some rooms are second floor and have eaves which could present a challenge! We stayed in Room 7 which had all we needed but was compact. However hotel good value and suited us perfectly. Would stay again."

Hedgehogs View - a hobbit hut that sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms

"We stayed in ‘Hedgehogs View’ for two nights, the location and view were second to none. The privacy of this specific accommodation was perfect as it’s at the top/back of the other ‘hobbit holes’ , so when using the hot tubs and walking around you’re not visible to anybody else. Our initial perspective was that the accommodation was beautiful , great facilities and well styled . Once we’d settled we noticed a lot of black mould spots in the main bedroom , above the bed area and dotted over the ceiling. The bed was extremely uncomfortable , with a very thin matress, the base of the bed being ply wood rather than slats/sprung slats which only accentuated the lack of thickness of the matress. A few little things that don’t work took the edge off the stay also, the bin lid didn’t work, and the mirrors that were supposed to light up in the bedroom/ bathroom didn’t. They stay gave us what we wanted/needed, being a space to relax with stunning views. But for the money I’m not sure I’d return as our sleep was very poor and the mould is something I feel should be addressed ASAP. As it is I’m unsure if I’d recommend based on the above comments."
