On the lake AND in the heart of Downtown Eufaula. Walk to shops, dining and the Yoholo Micco Trail from this great location. This historic home was built in 1882 and served as Eufaula's original town jail prior to its restoration as a city park and now a residential home. Eufaula's "Old Town Jail" is currently listed on the national register of historic places and is one of many historic structures in the town of Eufaula. Beautifully restored and renovated, the home still contains its original features, but includes all the modern amenities and comforts. You will not find a more fascinating and charming home than this, and the location can't be beat! Two bedrooms and 1 bath with 1200 sq feet of living space. Several boat launches located within minutes, and plenty of room to park your vehicles and boat. Dogs are welcome with a $50 non-refundable pet fee. Providence Canyon, AKA the Little Grand Canyon of Georgia is approx 20 miles away.

Amazing View - Great Location

This was a great place to stay, it had the best view of the water and was located a perfect distance to downtown. I will definitely be back and I can't thank Brett enough for his stellar hospitality!

Location & History!

Loved staying at the historic jailhouse! Great location and amenities, close to town, love the outdoor covered deck, and the view is fabulous! Extremely clean and comfortable, will absolutely stay again!

Eufaula Jail

This property was amazing. Close to Providence Canyon State Park that we were there to visit. Eufaula has a cute downtown area to also visit and beautiful old homes!! Lots of history. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area and recommend this property for a unique experience!!! On the water with a beautiful view!!!

Loved this property, was actually bigger than I anticipated. Views from property out to the lake are beautiful. Walkable distance to downtown & trails. Loved it was pet friendly. The only thing I would suggest, which is minor, is screening in the patio area.

Great place

We loved our stay. The property is beautiful and very comfortable. We loved the views of the sunrise over the lake. The house has all you will need for your stay including condiments, spices, and sweet goodies to make if you want to cook. There was no dishwasher, but we didn’t mind that. The fact that it was a historic jail was an added bonus.

My husband and I stayed a few nights and what a view at sun rise. Toured a few historic homes and a day trip to Providence Canyon. House was closes enough to walk to dinner and the local trail.

Great Holiday Stay

My husband, mother-in-law and I stayed at the property to visit our adult sons that live near the area. Everyone loved the property. We loved the historical value, how clean it was, the views, the amount of space and the neighborhood. The view of the lake is so gorgeous! The full kitchen allowed us to cook breakfast every morning and have everyone over for Christmas dinner. We would highly recommend the property.

Good location and close to town. Everything you might need only minites away. The house was very quiet and had everything available for home cooking. Property manager was very polite and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

The house was very nicely set up,clean and very comfortable. The area around the house was overgrown and there is no water access. The view was beautiful. Overall very pleased and would recommend to others.

Fantastic Anniversary celebration

Venue was perfect for us. Fantastic view from the deck. Very secure in basically commercial neighborhood. Close to downtown Eufaula with great restaurants, shopping, walking trail. Interior is very clean & comfortable. Host answered all questions in prompt/timely manner . Five Stars in every way!!!

Staying here was like being home away from home while my son competed in a high school bass tournament. Everything was so nice and clean. Little conveniences that were left made it such an enjoyable trip. It’s always the little thoughtful things that make such a big difference. Can’t wait to stay here again. Absolutely beautiful!

Birthday getaway…

What a wonderful experience to stay in the historic jailhouse, very nicely restored. My husband was locked in jail on his birthday for a couple nights😂 wonderful view of the lake, always enjoy the Cajun corner restaurant & of course, The Donut King. Since we arrived early the day of check-in Brett was nice enough to let us check-in early. Thank for sharing your wonderful home with us.

This cottage was perfect in every respect. The owner takes obvious pride in this one-of-a-kind property and it shows. It's super-clean, well stocked, and furnished with comfortable furniture and quality appliances. It offers a beautiful view of the lake, quiet privacy and a location that's within easy walking distance to downtown shopping and to many of the most popular attractions located in Eufaula. We had a great time and look forward to returning!

Unique getaway

Enjoyed staying in converted historic property on the lake and within easy walking distance of town and nearby trail. Appreciated quick response when notified property owner of ants in kitchen. - pest company arrived quickly. Just needs to fix bedroom tv. The sunrise is beautiful and view from inside air conditioning or covered deck is lovely. A unique place worth visiting…thanks!
