"The hotel is an older property but was in good shape. The only two issues were the fact that there’s no elevator and the shower in our room was impossible to keep at a constant temperature, it was either extremely hot or extremely cold. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend. "

"The pictures and descriptions of this property is very deceptive! It’s old and rundown. Cracking the building structure, cracks in the floors, dirty and old refrigerator, tv and sink didn’t work, one of the pools is small and dirty. Not handicapped accessible. I would not recommend this property to a dog if needed shelter. It was ocean view that’s it. "

"Island View Guesthouse is a little gem! Their dinning area is quite quaint with an impressive panoramic view of East, South and West Charlotte side of the Island. John and Jerome are great Host, and displayed best in class service. Extremely polite and accommodating. They made my stay comfortable. This is not an invention for future guess to take advantage of them. Just know you will have a comfortable stay. I had dinner here one night. Although quite pricey, the the food and service was impressive. My server Jonathan and another female assistant was very attentive in addessing the removal and addition of my courses. Wait till you see how they clean (if needed) your table as you go through your course. I am from; and dine within NYC. Which is the capital of restaurants and fine dinning of the United States. As for the free complimentary breakfast, it's off the hook! This not your typical Holiday Inn/Marriott complimentary breakfast. Beakfast is cooked and not premade and/or preheated. You'll be very pleased. When you consider the price of your stay, the pricey fine dining (blances out should you choose), the amazing view and impressive breakfast is worth it. Island View will be added to my very short list of place to stay when visiting St. Thomas US Virgin Islands. I provided pics so you can get an idea of what you're experience can be."

"The resort is perfect for a stay in paradise!! Great location, awesome staff, rooms are clean, comfy beds, margarita machine provided in the room was a pleasant surprise!!! Not much of a beach front but there are plenty that are a cab ride away! Our only complaint was the food offerings on the actual resort are lacking, margaritaville restaurant was over priced and the food was not that good. We ate most of our meals at another spot that was an off property restaurant that you could walk to along the edge of the beach. Morning coffees were also a struggle, depending on who’s working that day your coffee will show it. Our last day I finally got a great coffee, the girl working actually knew how to make a simple latte. Other mornings it was chocking down a horrible coffee. All in all though, we would highly recommend this resort and we are already planning to visit again as soon as we can! "

"Bay view from the room was nice on some mornings seaplanes would land in the bay waking us up in the early morning. We asked one of the front desk workers if she could take a picture of us seeing that the lobby was empty with no else checking in and she seemed bothered by our request."

"The rooms are very old and dingy. The shower was sort of gross and floor was peeling. The AC worked good and the bed was comfortable so those two things met our needs but this is not a hotel I will ever come back to. Location was a plus but just be prepared this hotel needs work done on its rooms. "
