Guetter le feu dans la cheminée, prévoir des provisions car il faut aller à Saulieu pour faire des courses, épier les animaux qui vivent autour, profiter des étoiles car il n'y a pas de lumières autour. Pour une amoureuse de calme et de nature comme moi, c'est idéal. A revivre à une période où les végétaux font partie du décor!"

"We had a large group and the accommodation was perfect. The facilities and bedrooms gave us flexibility with sleeping arrangements. We enjoyed the location, close enough to Beaune for daily excursions and we would recommend having some form of transport for the group. An amazing entertainment area surrounding the pool, which was very clean and warm. We thoroughly recommend this house and area."

"Very nice and clean apartment. Overall review is very good, but the only bed is small for 2 persons and very hard."

"Very nice, and comfortable gite. Big plus is the huge fully fenced garden which you have all for yourself. For us this would be a 11 out of 10 if there would be wifi. Thank you Sabine for having us!"

"We spent a week at Françoise and Dominque's place in Beaune and had a fantastic time, their place is very well equipped and has everything you will need, kitchen and outdoor eating area are perfect. It is a ten minute walk to the center of town. Françoise and Dominque are so accommodating, we cannot wait to go back."

"The property is a newly renovated boutique hotel with approximately 16 beautiful rooms. It is in an historic building in the center of Beaune opposite the Hospices de Beaune Museum. You are within walking distance to dining, sightseeing, shopping and wine tastings at the prestigious Burgundy wine houses and tunnels. Close to all of the Cote de Beaune and Cotes de Nuits vineyards. The hotel is tastefully appointed and opened in 2024. The entire staff is professional , courteous and friendly. I would like to commend the Front Desk manager Benjamin and his entire staff for their warm welcome and attentive assistance to every detail and request. I would also commend the bar staff, Francois and Ryan. They were truly welcoming, friendly and professional. I wish we could have stayed longer in Beaune. Hopefully we will visit again and stay at the Maison 1896. "

It would’ve been nice to have had access to a communal fridge and easier access to the secure bicycle area. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and comfortable my entire stay. The town on Beaune is beautiful and very easy to walk to from the hotel. There are plenty of dining options and some cute stores in the town, and it’s a great base to explore the Burgundy region. "The hotel is stunningly beautiful. MANY stairs. Not at all accessible for anyone unable to walk. Pool is lovely. We were provided with robes and slippers to wear down. The wine bar has a good selection with varying prices. We had the Santenay, Grand Cru. Staff were extremely polite and professional and spoke English. Parking was on the street a short walk from L’Abbaye."
