"Clean rooms! They serve a complementary breakfast in the morning, which is really not a breakfast. They have water down coffee and yogurt for the price that we pay for this hotel. They should’ve been actual breakfast or just don’t serve one"

"The grounds were very nice. There was no need to charge $3 for bottled water and charge for Netflix. The room’s cost should easily have covered that."

"The location is beautiful, property has a great ocean view, and it is walkable to Capitola. Amazing to see the Monarch butterflies that they help to raise there. The staff was very nice and accommodating. However, This property needs to be maintained better. The grounds ( paths, trees, deck) had not been taken care of in some time. Poison oak, spider webs, dirty chairs/tables where we were to have breakfast. Our room was even less inviting. Steps to second floor are steep, not easy to carry up a small carry on suitcase, and coming down the hand rail was at knee level. Walls are thin, we were kept up by a group celebrating quietly. The rug (wall to wall) had been rolled out over a very uneven floor. Beds were not comfortable, sagged. Sofa and other furniture was too used. Bathroom okay, except they painted over the sink fixtures, and it was flaking off. Not too clean! Maybe other rooms are in better condition? We left disappointed after 2 nights. "

"First off the beds were very comfortable, the accommodations were great and we were right in the heart of Capitola. Who needed a car you can use your feet to go everywhere you wanted to go. We of course went to Gayle's almost everyday.....thank you again for checking in on us. We will definitely we back. Great company to work with."

"Great Stay"

"This was such a cute property! The location was stellar, close to all the shops and the beach. Since it’s tucked away in a side street, it’s also super quiet. The only downside is parking in front of the location is a fight or a wait and watch for people to leave (but that is all of Capitola Village). The large public parking lot is about a 3 minute walk or so. We will definitely be back!"

"Location, location, location!!! Wonderful views of the beach and the village. The house was well appointed and had very cute beach decor. It also had everything we needed for a very nice and relaxing stay!"

"Location is everything! Just off the main shopping/restaurant street in downtown Capitola and a 1 minute walk to the beach. Comfortable stay with everything we needed. My only suggestion would be a different heating system for the downstairs living area. It never warmed up. The floor heaters worked great upstairs. "
