I enjoyed this hotel in Erlangen and my only regret is that I didn't get to explore more of Erlangen itself. Most of what we were doing was in Nuremberg proper, which is about a half hour total travel time (trains and walking) each way from this hotel. The nearest train stop is about a 3 minute walk from the hotel.
There's a little breakfast place a few steps away from the hotel and it was very good. The hotel itself has a large lobby that is essentially open all night as well, but I do not believe you can order food. There's vending machines though, and staff are great.
Just note that you do need to make use of public transit if you're travelling from this hotel to Nuremberg because Uber/Taxi will be at least €60 each way otherwise.
Nuremberg is expensive like nothing I've ever seen in Germany lol but staying in Erlangen offset the costs a lot, so don't be afraid to learn the train systems to make use of this hotel a little further away from the main areas.
Everything at this hotel was very good, except a strange musty smell in the hallway on the floor where we were assigned. But once we got in the room, it didn’t bother us.
There is no way to control some of the lights in the room without using the main switch, i.e. coffee bar light cannot be turn on without the main switch on and the wall decorative light can only be turn off with the main switch.
The shower does not door or curtain to keep water from splashing.
This hotel is very kind for the guest who stay Hotel and provide free drink coupon if you do not want to clean your room. I had good drink and good sleep at the hotel.
Overall r good, clean room, clean public area, only the staffs r cold, especially the breakfast staff. Don't care, don't talk, don't ask. If you are not seat in for breakfast, don't pay...nobody care and nobody check.
