We stayed one night and it was awesome service was excellent room was very nice ,you do share a washroom but we had no problems with that ,dinner and breakfast was really good highly recommend we would definitely stay here again

Stunning views, lovely welcome, delicious food.

It is a stunning place to stay with unbelievable views with a lovely family feeling and welcome. The food in the evening was also delicious. Seriously a lot better than you would expect from a place this size.

Great place at a great price

Stayed there 2 nights 2 adults 3 teens. Place was spacious and owners really friendly and helpful. A lot of hikes available directly from the hotel. The view is spectacular got a chance to be there for the Swiss national birthday. Bratwurst, raclette and beer in the village just a fun party with them. Price really good considering the region in which the hotel is found.

I wanted a place in the mountains and Schwand Gusthaus delivered. Woke up to a scene out of a movie. Tall mountains, green pastures and tinkling bells on cows. Myelie and Patrick are great hosts. We had dinner in their restaurant one night. Excellent food! I am planning to stay here again this winter. It is a shared bathroom situation so if that is an issue look elsewhere. Beds were very comfortable. And Engelberg is a lovely little town.

Best view

We booked one night for 2 adults and 2 children. I will start with the positive : 1. The location is absolutely breathtaking. The view of the mountains is just amazing ! 2. Very welcoming hosts. 3. Although is not a new property, it was very clean. Very impressed with the bathroom cleanliness On the other side, a car is needed to reach the property. Road is quite narrow and although I have 18 years driving experience, I think when the dark falls it can be tricky. We were on the top floor and unfortunately the guess below us suffered as every step of ours will make a disturbing noise for them. But overall a pleasant stay. will definitely recommend

Skønt beliggenhed og fint værelse

Virkelig skøn beliggenhed og med fantastisk udsigt ud over bjergene. Sengene var Ok og meget venlig vært og familie. Vi skulle tidlig afsted og kunne ikke nå morgenmad, men fik en smurt sandwich og æble med på turen. Kan så meget anbefales.

Das Gasthaus ist etwas abseits von Engelberg gelegen, deshalb ist es sehr ruhig und es liegt wunderschön! Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, einfach und zweckmässig eingerichtet, ein wenig ringhörig. Die Gastfamilie ist sehr herzlich, und das Essen fantastisch! Wir kommen wieder!

Super Gasthaus an etwas abgelegener Lage vom Dorfkern entfernt. Echt nostalgisch mit dem Baujahr 1877, dafür etwas hellhörig. Das Essen im Speisesaal war wirklich köstlich, und auch das Personal war sehr freundlich. Schönes Zimmer mit passender Einrichtung zum Jahrgang des Hauses. Sehr empfehlenswert für jemanden, der mobil ist und die 4,5km vom Zentrum Engelbergs kein Problem darstellt. Die Preis/Leistung ist dabei sehr gut. Gerne wieder

Erg gehorig! De vloeren kraken enorm, dus zachtjes lopen is niet mogelijk. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk. Er is geen aparte toilet, die zit in de badkamer en die deel je met andere. En dat is echt vervelend. De omgeving is prachtig!
