room was clean and staff helpful. i thought the daily parking fees should be added to the overall price. area was a bit sketchy for my taste but was close to everything

The room was nice, but not nice enough to justify the price. I’ve stayed at Marriott properties that were nicer, but much cheaper. I really wanted to try this property because I heard so much about the Salamander, but I was disappointed. I was expecting bells and whistles for the price. Our room only had 1 bottle of water and no one ever answered the phone at the front desk when I tried to call to request another. The valet parking is RIDICULOUS! $86 per night is highway robbery and there is no option for self parking. I stayed 1 night and was charged for 2 days of parking. I’m glad that I looked at my bill. I’m still waiting for my credit card to be refunded. I doubt that I’ll stay here again when planning another stay in DC.

The room was very pleasant - I would have preferred a higher floor but bed was comfortable and room was clean. Check in was easy - I was at hotel only to sleep so I didn't utilize restaurant or bar area but they looked really nice.

Great hotel in a great location. Definitely maintains a high standard for cleanliness, hospitality, etc.
