"Great hotel and especially great staff. Locally owned and you can tell. I was a little worried about it being a little outside the city but transportation was a non-issue. We liked to walk so we could walk into the city but there is a bus stop across from the hotel and buses ran ever 10 minutes. There are only 4 metro lines in Stockholm so very easy to get around. You just swipe your credit card when you get on the first mode of transporation and you have 90 minutes to use any form of transportation after that for no additional charge. Very easy!"

"My stay at Scandic Sondra Kajen was absolutely perfect! The location is very close to the ferry— safe, and with very easy access to public transportation. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to start the day right. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. "The promo for this hotel on Expedia was very misleading. We wanted to stay on or near Vaxholm. This hotel ad claims to be right near Vaxholm but it is nowhere near it, unless maybe you have private transportation We paid for the room at a non refundable rate . It is hard to get to Vaxholm from this hotel without a car. We therefore could not stay at the hotel. In fact, we immediately realized that as soon as we made the reservation and called the hotel and contacted Expedia but Expedia said the hotel will not refund the reservation money,.even though we explained the problem within minutes of making the reservation. Beware."
