Our Courtyard room was compact with a large bathroom. Perfect for our 2 night stay. Hilary was welcoming and on hand to assist with any of our needs. Breakfast was beautifully served with plenty of choice; fresh fruits, cereals, yoghurts, pastries, cheese/meats, fresh juice and tea/coffee/toast upon request. Well situated away from the hustle and bustle of the city but within walking distance of the main attractions.

Our stay at Six Brunton Place was everything we had hoped for. The room was beautiful, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was absolutely wonderful. Martin was such a lovely host—friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful with recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Edinburgh and would happily return. Highly recommend!

What a lovely stay! We were greeted by Hilary when we checked in, and she gave a great recommendation to go up Calton hill and check out town! We slept great and had a great time exploring town with Six Brunton as our base.

Very nice little place with gorgeous interior. Room was big and bed was comfy. Breakfast was perfect with fresh berries, toast, croissants etc. Only issue was that because of the no contact check in, we had trouble arriving (issues also with the hotels.com app and of course had no mobiledata etc...), getting in contact with staff and getting in. Had to leave the luggage near by luggage storage (wich there are plenty of nearby luckily!) and continue day in the city. Partly our fault for not figuring these out before the trip, though! Walk to city center was doable but also had bus connections near. Cute cafes nearby. All in all though very good place and I recommend this!

For the most part, I enjoyed my stay at Six Brunton Place! It was a cute B&B with a super kind host, Hilary. Vivienne (spelling may be incorrect) was extremely helpful during my stay. She helped me during my arrival and throughout my stay on multiple occasions. As a solo traveler, I felt extremely safe and secure in this B&B so I highly recommend it for that alone. It is close to multiple bus stops and the tram, so it was easy to get to all the sights. It’s very close to Arthur’s Seat! There’s also a phenomenal restaurant called the Herringbone just down the street (~5 min walk). Definitely want to note though that this is a multi story house and I do not believe there is a lift/elevator available. Additionally, there are rooms at the basement level which was not clear at the time of booking. I was in the Courtyard room which is a basement level room which is not what I anticipated based on the booking I made. Though it was as clean as it could be, it does have a basement feel and smell to it, so be aware if this is not what you would want.

It was surprisingly pleasant hotel. Although it is a converted old town house, they have fitted with a rather nice bathroom, better than any other hotels I have stayed in recent years (we stayed in Courtyard Room). Not a large room, but well thought through.
