Great hotel. Excellent location. Staff are awesome and very helpful and friendly. We love the technology on the room for lights, hvac, etc. definitely, recommended. Only stayed for one night but enough to have a good taste of the quality of a great hospitality.

The breakfast was very good with lots of variety. Staff always friendly and helpful. Rooms are quite small and not a lot of room for luggage storage or cupboard/closet space. The hotel is in a great are for walking to all the attractions, restaurants and transportation. Would stay here again.

The hotel is in an excellent location. We booked and received a small room without a window, so we weren’t expecting anything fancy, but there was hair and stains on the floors and bedding. If you don’t want anything fancy, but want a great location, it’s not a terrible option.

The hotel had just opened for stay, everything was very new, clean and functional. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is amazing, walking distance to the Old Town, Waverley Station and the bus stop to and from the airport (Waverley Bridge). We will use Point A Hotel at St. Andrew square if we are in Edinburgh again. Definitely recommend!

The location was great but the curtains were too small to darken the rooms, website states free breakfast but it is not free, very noisy from inside and outside, the bathroom layout was awful. Poorly designed.

Staff and location excellent. Booked an accessible room but plumbing problems could not be dealt with promptly, and we were offered an alternative but Windowless Room for the first night. While brand new and recently opened, I would advise avoiding the cramped windowless room. We were accommodated the next night in an Accessible Room as booked and without a request for same, provided a fair refund. Continental Breakfast was ample and worthwhile. While the property needs to work out the kinks, [HVAC and plumbing] the staff was extremely helpful, courteous and attentive and certainly tried their best. We would stay again.

Fantastic location, just a block off Princes Street by the Scott Monument! The staff are phenomenal, so friendly and incredibly helpful. A huge thank you to James, Evie, and Jamie, who were always on hand to chat and assist with anything we needed. While the hotel experienced a few growing pains with the HVAC (one of our rooms ran a bit too cold, while the one next door was a little warm), it didn't take away from a great stay. Although compact, the rooms have everything you need, including handy bedside power sockets and USB charging points, plus a sparkling clean shower with consistently hot water. The continental breakfast is a great way to kick-start your morning, featuring good coffee, fruit juice, flaky pastries, cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cheeses, and cold meats. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Edinburgh.

The room was clean and the location central. For the cost, I expected to have toiletries like lotion and conditioner provided. Even soap was not adequately topped up. There is no closet and you have to hang your clothes on the wall. No iron in the room. You have to go to a special room to iron which is inconvenient. The breakfast selection was also lacking. The best thing about the hotel is its location. Maybe that is what drives the price up.

The location of this property was unbeatable buttttt the ammenities a little lacking, or rather you gotta pay for what I would consider basic expectations. The lowdown: -The property is lovely but the rooms are tight. You truly get what you pay for so if you pay for cosy please expect cosy. Very clever use of space but wow it’s tight for two adults when buying a cosy no window. -Towels refreshed every 4 days which is pointless really, the enjoyment of a hotel stay for me is fresh daily towels, I don’t need fresh sheets, but fresh towels #love. I do love how they say caring for our environment, please be honest and say it’s cost effective ;) disclaimer: you can ask for them, but really who wants to seem needy haha -No coffee n tea or a kettle and no comp bottle of water -Easy walk to old town, easy peasy walk to incredible eating and most especially the area felt safe and easy to get around. Conclusion: Would I stay again, absolutely but potentially pay for a bigger room. Edinburgh appears to be a bit costly so Point A seems great value and it truly is a lovely property in the sweetest of locations. If they tweaked those few things they could increase patrons delight I’m quite sure :)
